Hydraulic camshaft adjuster, and method for operating the hydraulic camshaft adjuster
A hydraulic camshaft adjuster adjusts the control time of gas exchange of an internal combustion engine. A reservoir for storing pressure medium is formed on a cover of the hydraulic camshaft adjuster. An overflow opening of the cover is dimensioned such that a volume of pressure medium remains in the reservoir when the hydraulic camshaft adjuster is stationary. This ensures that pressure medium is supplied to the return valve of a central locking mechanism when the engine is running.
Oil flow system for engine cylinder deactivation
Methods and systems are provided for an engine oil system of a cylinder head. In one example, an engine oil system may include a first oil gallery and a second oil gallery fluidly coupled to each other via a plurality of oil chambers. Each oil chamber includes a plug, and one or more of the plugs may include a slot shaped to direct a flow of engine oil from a solenoid valve to the second oil gallery.
Hydraulic piston with a cooling and lubricating gasket valve
The hydraulic piston (1) constitutes a hydraulic chamber (5) with a cylinder (4) and has a cylindrical body (6) connectedfrom the side of the chamber (5)by a link-stop valve (3) to a cooling and lubricating gasket valve (2) which is passed right through by a flow calibration opening (27), the valve (2) being able to move in longitudinal translation over a short stroke with respect to the body (6) or to be held at a distance from the body (6) by the valve link-stop (3), a valve return spring (30) tending to move the valve (2) away from the cylindrical body (6).
Lightweight geardrive systems
A gearbox comprising an input shaft fixed with a first gear, an output shaft fixed with a second gear, and a rim gear without a web or hub rotatably mounted on a shaft having a hollow space. A lubrication line extends from within the shaft to a lubrication space disposed between an inner surface of the rim gear and an outer surface of the shaft. The rim gear is held in place on the shaft by a first interior surface of a first chamber member and a second interior surface of a second chamber member.
Lubricating device for engine
The first opening part penetrates the first partition wall that separates the crank chamber and the oil sump chamber. The lubricating device of the engine includes an oil mist generation control part. The oil mist generation control part disperses gas injected from the crank chamber into the oil sump chamber through the first opening part when the crank chamber has a positive pressure or restricts the flow of oil with which the injected gas collides, thereby controlling an amount of oil mist generated in the oil sump chamber.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A HYDRAULIC VALVETRAIN SYSTEM
Apparatus (10) for a hydraulic valvetrain system (90) comprising: a first oil retaining means 5 (12), a second oil retaining means (20) and an oil conveyance means (14, 16) having a first end (18) operably connected to the first oil retaining means (12) and a second end (22) operably connected to the second oil retaining means (20). The second oil retaining means (20) is configured to receive oil from the first oil retaining means (12) via the oil conveyance means (14, 16), the first oil retaining means (12) is configured to receive oil from the oil 10 conveyance means (14, 16) and the oil conveyance means (14, 16) is configured to receive oil from the second oil retaining means (20).

Each oil chamber includes a plug, and one or more of the plugs may include a slot shaped to direct a flow of engine oil from a solenoid valve to the second oil gallery.
LIGHTWEIGHT GEARDRIVE SYSTEMS
An improved, lightweight gear drive having a rim gear mounted on a shaft, the shaft formed of one or more shaft segments, each of the shaft segments supporting a segregated arc. The segregated arcs forming a circumferential portion of a bearing surface of the shaft.
