Heat accumulator
A heat accumulator for use in a motor vehicle having a heat accumulator container which can be integrated into the motor oil circuit, through which motor oil flows when the motor is running, and which is disconnected from the circuit when the motor is switched off. The oil pan of the motor, in particular the lower part of the oil pan, is provided as the heat accumulator container, and the oil pan is provided with heat-insulating container walls. Also, an element for increasing the heat capacity of the heat accumulator is provided.
THERMAL DEVICE FOR A FLUID, WITH BAFFLES, AND ASSOCIATED CIRCUITS
A thermal device comprising a fluid circulation circuit in which the fluid circulates over time at different temperatures, and a thermal store and heat exchanger arranged on said circuit and enclosing an interior volume in which the fluid circulates, and in which are arranged elements that store and release thermal energy, of PCM type, in contact with the fluid, for heat exchanges. The interior volume of the store and heat exchanger is provided with baffles.
UNIT FOR STORING THERMAL ENERGY
This relates to a unit for storing and releasing thermal energy including a plurality of blocks (3) each having a body (330) the lateral walls of which delimit a chamber (7) suited to receiving storage and release elements (13) of PCM type, to be placed in heat exchange relationship with a refrigerating or heat-transfer fluid (9) circulating between the chambers via passages; and elements (19) for the thermal management of the chambers arranged around said chambers and at least some of which include a thermally insulating material and others a PCM.
Crankcase oil catcher with movable guide
A crankcase assembly for an engine comprising: a crankcase comprising a crank sump; the crank sump comprising primary and secondary sump volumes; one or more crankcase oil catchers, the crankcase oil catchers comprising surfaces to catch dispersed oil in the crankcase and direct the oil away from a crankcase casing wall and towards the crank sump, wherein the crankcase oil catchers are provided above a crankshaft and below a piston of the engine; and one or more guides to collect oil and guide the oil to the primary sump volume. At least a portion of the guide is movable between a first configuration in which the guide collects the captured oil that would otherwise have.
