Lubricating system for internal combustion engine, oil pan apparatus, and internal combustion engine
A valve system is disclosed herein. The valve system, in one arrangement, may comprise: a fluid pathway for transporting a fluid; a first valve operably coupled to the fluid pathway, the first valve comprising a first resilient element; a second valve operably coupled to the fluid pathway, the second valve comprising a second resilient element that is substantially identical to the first resilient element; wherein, when the first valve is in a closed state, the first resilient element is compressed to a first length so that the first valve opens at a first pressure; and wherein, when the second salve is in a closed state, the second resilient element is compressed to a second length so that the second valve opens at a second pressure, the first length is less than the second length such that the second pressure is less than the first pressure.
Modular transmission side cover assembly
A transmission side cover assembly includes a transmission side cover carrying completely there on one or more filters and/or a cooler. Fluid flow channels are formed integrally in the material of the cover and provide fluid flow communication paths to the filters and/or cooler carried by the cover. The filters and/or cooler carried by the cover are accessible externally of the cover, for servicing thereof without removing the cover.
FAST ENGINE OIL WARM-UP TYPE OIL PAN AND ENGINE SYSTEM THEREOF
An oil pan may include a pan body forming a dual chamber including a primary chamber and a secondary chamber, and a mesh. The primary chamber and the secondary chamber each contains a different amount of oil, and the mesh allows a different amount of oil permeation discharged from the secondary chamber to the primary chamber based on temperature of the oil.
Heat Transfer System
A heat transfer system for a vehicle including an axle assembly having a carrier housing. A sump defined by the carrier housing contains a fluid lubricant. The heat transfer system further includes a heat exchanger having one or more electrically conductive elements. The electrically conductive elements are at least partially disposed within the carrier housing. Additionally, an electrical power source is in electrical connection with the heat exchanger.
OIL SUMP, IN PARTICULAR OIL FILTER MODULE, WITH A MULTI-PART HOUSING
An oil sump for supplying an assembly of a motor vehicle, including: a housing including a housing frame and a closure part, such as for example a housing cover, which is joined to the housing frame; an oil accommodating space enclosed by the housing. The housing frame circumferentially surrounds the oil accommodating space; and a suction channel which extends into the oil accommodating space and includes an opening via which oil can be delivered or suctioned from the oil accommodating space through the suction channel. The suction channel is formed by the housing frame and the closure part.
Pan system for an engine housing structure of an internal combustion engine
A pan system suitable for an engine housing structure has trough-shaped inner and outer pans with bottoms and upright walls. The inner pan accommodates engine oil. The outer pan bottom and upright walls run at least in certain areas at a distance from the bottom and walls of the inner pan, forming a channel-like intermediate space containing engine for affecting the temperature of the inner pan. Fins are provided on the inner walls and the outer walls. The bottoms of the inner and outer pans interact through a supporting system. Preferably, the inner and outer pans are made of metallic material and the inner pan is provided at least on one inner side of the bottom and upright walls with a cooling fin system that optimizes heat transfer. The upright walls of the inner and outer pans are connected to the engine housing structure.
Air-Cooled Oil Tank, and Wind Turbine Comprising an Air-Cooled Oil Tank
Air-cooled oil tank comprising a plurality of pipes which are designed to conduct cooling air therethrough, have substantially the same diameter and extend through the oil tank, characterized by a second pipe which is designed to conduct cooling air therethrough and extends through the oil tank and within the diameter of which a fan is arranged, the diameter of the second pipe being greater than the diameter of the first pipes.
Cooling Device And Motor Vehicle With A Cooling Device
A cooling device for a motor vehicle may include: a liquid-cooled turbocharger arranged on an internal combustion engine; a coolant feed line; a coolant discharge line; and a heat exchanger arranged at least partially within an oil container. The coolant discharge line is connected by an oil preheating line to the heat exchanger.
Engine oil supply system
An engine oil supply system may include an oil pan connected with an oil pump at a first side and connected with an oil cooler at a second side, an oil passage through which oil pressurized by the oil pump flows, an oil filter disposed in the oil pan to filter impurities in the oil supplied from the oil pump, and a bypass valve disposed in the oil passage to selectively supply the oil in the oil passage to at least one of the oil cooler and the oil filter.
DEVICE FOR AN ENGINE COMPRISING AN OIL PAN AND A HEAT EXCHANGER
The invention relates to a device (1) for an engine which includes an oil pan (2) made of a plastic material having a hollow shape (21) containing lubricating oil defined by a bottom wall (22), a plurality of side walls (24) and upper edges (25). The oil pan (2) has at least one exchanger surface (30) which comprises means for circulating oil and means for circulating a coolant, and a heat exchanger (4) in which oil and a coolant circulate, comprising a series of plates (41) made of a plastic material welded together two-by-two and welded to the exchanger surface (30).
