FLOTATION-BASED VALVE TO PREVENT OIL FROM EXITING A VEHICLE OIL SUMP
A motor for a vehicle comprises: a motor housing; an oil sump mounted to the motor for oil to drain from the motor housing into the oil sump, a width of the oil sump being greater than a depth of the oil sump, the oil sump having an oil pickup for circulating the oil; and a valve member mounted at a pivot point inside the oil sump, the valve member enclosing an air cavity for buoyancy, wherein the valve member is configured to rotate about the pivot point due to being buoyed by the oil.
Oil supply structure for power unit, and power unit
An oil supply structure for a power unit includes a working oil pump, a lubrication oil pump, an oil storage section, a working oil pressure detection part and a lubrication hydraulic pressure detection part, the oil storage section including a lubrication oil storage chamber in which a suction section of the lubrication oil pump is opened, and a working oil storage chamber in which a suction section of the working oil pump is opened, and oil overflowed from the working oil storage chamber being stored in the lubrication oil storage chamber.
FAST ENGINE OIL WARM-UP TYPE OIL PAN AND ENGINE SYSTEM THEREOF
An oil pan may include a pan body forming a dual chamber including a primary chamber and a secondary chamber, and a mesh. The primary chamber and the secondary chamber each contains a different amount of oil, and the mesh allows a different amount of oil permeation discharged from the secondary chamber to the primary chamber based on temperature of the oil.
OIL PAN ASSEMBLY
The oil pan assembly includes an oil pan and a slideable cover. The oil pan includes a base and a sidewall which surrounds the base wherein the base and the sidewall are configured to retain a pool of oil. The oil pan further includes a peripheral flange operatively configured to be coupled to an engine block. The slideable cover is affixed to the oil pan and is configured to maintain the pool of oil proximate to the base of the oil pan.

Internal combustion engine and straddled vehicle
An internal combustion engine includes: a crankshaft; a crankcase that supports the crankshaft; an oil tank that is at least partially partitioned by the crankcase; a scavenge pump including a first intake port and a first discharge port; a feed pump including a pump shaft, a second intake port and a second discharge port, oil that has been sucked in through the second intake port as the pump shaft rotates being discharged through the second discharge port; a scavenge discharge passageway connecting the first discharge port of the scavenge pump to the oil tank; and a feed intake passageway connecting the oil tank to the second intake port of the feed pump. As viewed from the axial direction of the pump shaft, at least a portion of the feed pump and the oil tank overlap each other.
OIL CIRCULATION SYSTEM OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An oil circulation system of an internal combustion engine comprises a first oil pan and second oil pan, first oil supplied parts supplied with oil stored in the first oil pan, second oil supplied parts supplied with oil stored in the second oil pan, and a heating part. The heating part has oil paths through which oil flows and heats the oil flowing through the oil paths. The oil circulation system comprises a first circulation path circulating oil through the first oil pan, heating part, and first oil supplied parts, and a second circulation path circulating oil between the second oil pan and the second oil supplied parts.
Internal combustion engine
Side surfaces of an end cam cap and a pair of side surfaces of a recess for cam cap form two cross-sectional area gradually changing gaps therebetween. A gasket is filled between an inner surface of the recess for cam cap and an outer surface of the end cam cap. The inner surface includes the side surfaces of the recess for cam cap and the outer surface includes the side surfaces of the end cam cap.
COMMON DRAIN FOR FLUID CHAMBERS OF A MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVETRAIN FLUID SYSTEM
A fluid system for a motor vehicle drivetrain is provided including a housing including drain hole, a first fluid chamber for receiving fluid, and a second fluid chamber for receiving fluid, the drain hole coupled to the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber for draining fluid from both the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber. The fluid system further includes a stopper configured to prevent fluid from draining from the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber out of the drain hole in a first orientation of the stopper and configured to allow fluid to drain from the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber out of the drain hole in a second orientation of the stopper. The stopper is configured to isolate the first fluid chamber from the second fluid chamber in the first orientation of the stopper.
Preventing apparatus for concentrating oil of vehicle
A preventing apparatus for concentrating oil of a vehicle includes: a chamber disposed in an oil pan to enclose the surrounding of an oil strainer and having both sides provided with through holes through which oil inflows and outflows; and an oil blocking module disposed to be spaced apart from the through holes in the chamber and operated in an opposite direction to a turning direction of the vehicle when the vehicle turns in order to block one of the through holes of the chamber.
