SEALING ARRANGEMENT
Sealing arrangement for an internal combustion engine for sealing at least one interface of an oil pan assembly, comprising an O-ring for sealing a first interface between an upper edge portion of the oil pan assembly and a bottom side of an engine casing, wherein the O-ring extends in a plane formed by the first interface. The sealing arrangement further comprises at least one molded seal for sealing a second interface between two connectable parts of the engine, wherein the molded seal comprises two seal end portions comprising sealing areas to be sealingly connected to the O-ring.
OIL PAN ASSEMBLY
An internal combustion engine having at least twelve cylinders, comprising a crankcase and an oil pan assembly attached to a bottom side of an engine casing, wherein the oil pan assembly is formed by at least one casted segment. The oil pan assembly is formed by at least two segments, wherein the at least two segments are casted parts and are arranged next to each other in a longitudinal direction of the engine.
Oil level indicator tube
An automotive engine structural component includes an oil sump formed within the engine structural component, a bore extending from an exterior surface of the engine structural component to the oil sump, an oil level indicator tube supported within the bore, the oil level indicator tube including an upper bead, a lower bead, an o-ring positioned on the oil level indicator tube between the upper and lower beads, the o-ring forming a radial seal between the oil level indicator tube and an interior surface of the bore, and a spacer clip positioned between the upper bead and the o-ring.
OIL CASE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OIL CASE
This oil case of an outboard motor is provided below an engine and stores lubricating oil of the engine. In this method for manufacturing the oil case, the oil case is manufactured so as to comprise: an oil chamber; an introduction path that guides upward cooling supply water drawn in from outside the outboard motor; a delivery path that guides downward cooling discharge water that has cooled the engine; a main exhaust path that guides exhaust gas of the engine downward; and a sub exhaust path that guides exhaust gas during low-speed rotation of the engine. The oil chamber, the introduction path, the delivery path, the main exhaust path and the sub exhaust path form an integral structure.
Lower structure of internal combustion engine
To minimize the risk of damaging an internal oil passage for conducting oil, the lower structure of an internal combustion engine includes a bottom wall (6), a side wall (7) provided along a peripheral edge of the bottom wall to define the oil chamber in cooperation with the bottom wall, a device mounting seat (52) provided on the side wall and configure to have a prescribed device (51) attached thereto; and an oil passage portion (57) formed in the side wall to define the oil passage (56), wherein the oil passage opens at the device mounting seat, and a part of the side wall adjacent to the oil passage portion is provided with a load absorbing portion (61) configured to be more readily deformable than the oil passage portion.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE INCLUDING OIL DIPSTICK WITH FIXING BY PERMANENT MAGNET AND SEAL OF OIL DIPSTICK BORE WITH FIXING BY PERMANENT MAGNET
An internal combustion engine includes an oil dipstick fixed by permanent magnet. An oil dipstick bore is sealed by the fixing by the permanent magnet. The internal combustion engine includes at least one crankcase, at least one cylinder head, at least one oil pan and at least one reception element for receiving a stopper and at least one stopper.
Lubrication fluid storage system with venting
A storage reservoir for an internal combustion engine is provided that includes a plurality of vents connected to an air compartment that outlets air from the storage reservoir. The storage reservoir can remain vented to supply of lubrication fluid even if the internal combustion engine is inclined due to operation along severe grades.
Internal combustion engine unit
An internal combustion engine unit including an internal combustion engine body, a balancer device attached to a lower portion of the internal combustion engine body, and an oil pan attached to the lower portion of the internal combustion engine body so as to surround the balancer device. The balancer device is disposed facing an outlet of an oil outflow hole, and the oil outflow hole is formed in the internal combustion engine body so as to return a lubricating oil in the internal combustion engine body to the oil pan.
