Oil pan assembly

An oil pan assembly having an oil pan and an intake pipe attached to a bottom of an engine block is provided. The oil pan assembly includes an inner plate mounted to the oil pan so as to be disposed between the oil pan and a bottom surface of the engine block. The inner plate is configured to slow the flow of oil to an intake pipe so as to provide additional time for entrained oil to de-areate.

VEHICLE OIL SUPPLY MECHANISM
20200355100 · 2020-11-12 · ·

An air introduction hole having an aperture area smaller than that of an oil inlet is formed above the oil inlet, and therefore, when the oil level of oil accumulated in an oil pan inclines during traveling, air is sucked in through the air introduction hole, thereby restraining a decrease in hydraulic pressure of the oil. Further, the air introduction hole is formed behind the oil inlet in the vehicle front-rear direction in a vehicle. Accordingly, during heavy load traveling such as hill-climbing traveling, the air introduction hole sinks in the oil, thereby restraining the air from being sucked in through the air introduction hole. Accordingly, no air is sucked into an oil strainer, thereby making it possible to obtain high hydraulic pressure during heavy load traveling.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE UNIT
20200332684 · 2020-10-22 ·

An internal combustion engine unit including an internal combustion engine body, a balancer device attached to a lower portion of the internal combustion engine body, and an oil pan attached to the lower portion of the internal combustion engine body so as to surround the balancer device. The balancer device is disposed facing an outlet of an oil outflow hole, and the oil outflow hole is formed in the internal combustion engine body so as to return a lubricating oil in the internal combustion engine body to the oil pan.

Device for passing lubricant out of a lubricant collecting container

A device for passing lubricant out of a lubricant collecting container to a lubricant pump, in particular for an oil circuit of an internal combustion engine. The device including a lubricant intake pipe and a sedimentation container, which is connected fluidically to the lubricant intake pipe.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, LUBRICATION SYSTEM, AND ENGINE OIL STRAINER

An engine oil strainer includes a lubricating oil passage, and an oil inlet and an oil outlet which are respectively disposed at two ends of the lubricating oil passage. The engine oil strainer further includes a check valve which is disposed at the oil inlet and which only allows a lubricating oil to flow into the lubricating oil passage. Also disclosed herein are a lubrication system employing the engine oil strainer, and an internal combustion engine having the lubrication system. When the internal combustion engine stops operating, the lubricating oil flows back from the oil outlet into the engine oil strainer. Since the check valve is disposed at the location of the oil inlet of the engine oil strainer, the lubricating oil flowing back into the engine oil strainer is not capable of proceeding to flow back from the oil inlet into the oil pan.

Fluid distribution assembly having anti-clog inlet housing

A fluid distribution assembly for distributing a fluid, the fluid distribution assembly includes an inlet housing including a first conduit and a bypass conduit; a chip detector cavity in fluid communication with the first conduit such that the fluid can pass through the first conduit into the chip detector cavity; and an outlet housing in fluid communication with the chip detector cavity and the bypass conduit such that the fluid can pass into the outlet housing through the chip detector cavity and/or the bypass conduit.

OIL STORING STRUCTURE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
20200149446 · 2020-05-14 · ·

An internal combustion engine includes a bottomed box-shaped oil pan in which oil is stored. In addition, the internal combustion engine includes an oil pump configured to suck the oil in the oil pan and pressure-feed the oil to each part of the internal combustion engine. A suction pipe extends toward a bottom surface of the oil pan from the oil pump. A strainer is attached to a tip end of the suction pipe. A projection portion protrudes from a bottom surface which is one of inner wall surfaces defining an oil storing space inside the oil pan. The resonance frequency of the projection portion falls in the range of frequency of vibration that is generated at an engine rotational speed at which the internal combustion engine continues to operate independently.

Transmission Oil Filter Assembly

A transmission oil filter is assembled from a filter element, a base, and a cover. Each of the three pieces extends beyond the filtration media to form an inlet channel. The inlet channel is low enough to fit under a valve body. Placing the inlet in this channel ensures that the inlet draws transmission fluid at road gradients and acceleration rates at which an inlet under the filtration media would draw air.

COMPLETE VOLUME DRAINING OIL PAN AND DEVICE
20200116053 · 2020-04-16 ·

A drain tube device that includes a first tubular region, a second region and arcuate tubular region interposed between the first tubular region and the second region. In certain embodiments, the arcuate region is contiguously joined to the first tubular and the second region such that the first tubular region and the second region form an acute angle in a first plane that is between 45 and 90. The second region has an end distal to the arcuate tubular region and includes a longitudinal opening defined in at least a portion of the region between the arcuate tubular region and the distal end. In certain embodiments, the arcuate region can also have a configuration that provides an angle located out of the first plane between the first tubular region and the second region that is between zero and 90.

Oil pan assembly

The oil pan assembly includes an oil pan and a slideable cover. The oil pan includes a base and a sidewall which surrounds the base wherein the base and the sidewall are configured to retain a pool of oil. The oil pan further includes a peripheral flange operatively configured to be coupled to an engine block. The slideable cover is affixed to the oil pan and is configured to maintain the pool of oil proximate to the base of the oil pan.
