Apparatus and method
A fluid reservoir system for a vehicle engine, which engine comprises a fluid circulation system, the reservoir system comprising a container for fluid, in which the container comprises at least one fluid inlet port, at least one fluid outlet port and at least one vent port and in which, each of said ports comprises a self-sealing coupling adapted to connect to a corresponding coupling on the vehicle engine to thereby connect said container in fluidic communication with the fluid circulation system of the engine and in which the reservoir system comprises at least one latch which is adapted to retain said container in fluidic communication with said vehicle engine fluid circulation system and is remotely operable to disconnect said container from said vehicle engine fluid circulation system and in which the system comprises at least one actuator which is connected to one or more of said latches and is adapted to operate said one or more latches and said container is elongate; said inlet, outlet and vent ports are located at a common first end of said container; and said at least one actuator is operable at a second end of said container, distal from said ports. Also provided is a method of supplying fluid to a vehicle engine using said fluid reservoir system.
QUICK OIL CHANGE SYSTEM
A system to change the oil from above the hood includes a reversible motor connected to the oil system, preferably the sump drain. The pump is further connected to a container. The pump initially draws the oil from the oil sump and directs it into an empty container. A full container of oil is then connected to the pump, which is then reversed, pumping the oil new oil into the engine's oil sump. Alternately, the system can be directed to and from the existing oil filter connection.
VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR MACHINE FLUID OPERATIONS
Various embodiments of valve assemblies are provided for use in connection with the fluid systems of machines such as engine-powered machines. The valve assemblies may be used for performing fluid refill operations, fluid evacuation operations, fluid purge operations, and other types of fluid operations in connection with machine maintenance.
Fluid evacuation valve with break-away groove
A device for removing oils, fuels and other fluids from reservoirs is disclosed that works in conjunction with engine-powered devices via a vacuum-actuated valve containing a multi-tiered U-groove. The U-groove allows a disconnection of the valve bolt shaft from the threaded end that fits inside the reservoir, trapping and holding the fluid in the reservoir.
Engine Revision for Peristaltic Oil Change
A method and a kit for oil removal or injection into the oil pan of a vehicle, marine or aircraft engine. A modified dip stick tube extends to the bottom of the oil pan has at least one or more openings at its bottom end to allow oil to enter or exit. The top has an air-tight seal that can be attached to a flexible tube that can be run to a peristaltic pump. The pump can have an exit tube that runs into an oil recovery receptacle. After draining, the oil, the tube can be valved or physically relocated to a fresh oil source. The direction of rotation of the pump can be reversed to fill the oil pan with fresh oil. An electric control can run the pump in both a forward and reverse direction typically from a vehicle battery voltage source.
PORTABLE AUTOMOTIVE WASTE OIL EXTRACTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
The embodiments herein are directed to a portable, electric-powered, oil extraction device referred to herein by the acronym EWOK, which stands for Electric Waste Oil Kit, and a method for using the same. The EWOK of the instant innovation is comprised of at least a pump with a single inlet and outlet, a detachable inlet strainer to protect the pump, a clear inlet hose, a shutoff valve, a quick-connection outlet fitting, a power switch, a circuit breaker, an optional oil fill cap holder, and optional hose holder. In use the EWOK includes a tubular straw operative to be inserted far enough into an engine dipstick tube to facilitate removal of engine oil when negative pressure sufficient to draw out the oil through the straw is applied to said straw. Engine oil is drawn through the straw and into one or more holding tanks for disposal or other use.
