Oil storage and filtration system
11396833 · 2022-07-26 · ·

An oil storage and filtration system for an engine unit includes an on/off valve that defines an operating phase when receiving supply air and in an on position and a standby phase when in an off position or not receiving the supply air. The system also includes a fill/drain valve that defines a drain state and a fill state which respectively correspond to emptying and filling oil from/into the engine unit. The system also includes a control valve, a pressure/vacuum valve, and a storage tank. The storage tank stores oil in a pressurized condition during the fill state, a vacuum condition during the drain state, and an atmospheric condition during the standby phase. The also includes a vacuum generator in fluid communication with the storage tank during the drain state and fluidly isolated from the storage tank during the fill state.

A system. The system includes a valve assembly. The valve assembly includes a first port, a second port fluidically couplable with the first port upon application of negative pressure at the first port, a third port fluidically couplable with the first port upon application of positive pressure at the first port, and a first check valve positioned between the first port and the second port. The system also includes a second check valve fluidically couplable with the third port upon the application of the positive pressure at the first port. The second check valve is positioned external to the valve assembly.

ZERO TURNING RADIUS MOWER OIL EXTENSION KIT
20210381408 · 2021-12-09 ·

A zero turning radius mower oil extension kit includes a supplemental oil tank that may be installed under a wet sump of a zero turning radius mower engine. A plurality of conduits may be installed between the supplemental oil tank and at least one drain port of the engine for continuously circulating a volume of oil between the supplemental oil tank and the wet sump of the engine while the engine is running. The kit extends the time between oil changes because of the increased volume of oil in the supplemental oil tank and the wet sump.

System and apparatus for processing fluids present in devices having hydraulic systems

A device for reciprocatingly removing and replenishing fluid in circulating system of an hydraulic mechanism that includes at least two processing tanks, at least one air pressure regulator and connector releasably engageable with a pressurized air source, at least one vacuum generator, at least one pressure regulator; and means for removing the fluid from the circulating system at vacuum.

Method and control unit for operating a spark-ignition internal combustion engine or a dual-fuel internal combustion engine operated in the spark-ignition mode

A method for operating an internal combustion engine that is supplied with lubricating oil via an oil circuit. A measurement value of the total base number and/or a measurement value of the oxidation of lubricating oil currently used in the oil circuit for the lubrication is detected. Dependent on the established measurement value of the total base number and/or dependent on the established measurement value of the oxidation an exchange oil quantity for the oil circuit is determined. Currently used lubricating oil to an extent corresponding to the exchange oil quantity is removed from the oil circuit and new lubricating oil to an extent corresponding to the exchange oil quantity is supplied to the oil circuit.

Internal combustion engine and method of operating same

An internal combustion engine having an oil circuit, wherein the oil circuit is designed to supply at least one component of the internal combustion engine with lubricating oil, and at least one oil reservoir for providing the lubricating oil for the oil circuit, wherein there is provided at least one collecting container separate from the at least one oil reservoir, wherein lubricating oil in the oil circuit downstream of the at least one component can be collected in the at least one collecting container, and there is provided at least one removal device, by means of which at least a part of the lubricating oil collected in the at least one collecting container is removable from the at least one oil circuit.

MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PUMP WITH MECHANICAL SEAL LUBRICATION ARRANGEMENT

Systems and methods are provided for remotely monitoring liquid lubricant levels for pump equipment. A system includes a reservoir to store lubricant and a lubrication gland to expose a shaft seal of the pump equipment to the lubricant. A feed line and a return line circulate the lubricant between the reservoir and the lubrication gland. A level sensor is configured to measure a fluid level in the reservoir. The level sensor uses a communication interface to transmit fluid level data a monitoring device mounted to the pump equipment. The monitoring device is configured to compare the fluid level data against stored alert thresholds and send, to a provider network, an alert signal when the fluid level data is below an alert threshold. If the fluid level data is not below an alert threshold, the monitoring device stores the fluid level data for periodic reporting.
