Air Inlet Device for an Oil System in an Internal Combustion Engine
An apparatus that improves the gas mileage of an internal combustion engine in a vehicle is disclosed that is comprised of an air inlet, a condensation chamber, and an air outlet that is connected to the vehicle's oil system through an oil filler port in the engine of the vehicle.
CONDITION MONITORING POD
Apparatuses are disclosed including an apparatus for machine fluid monitoring or sampling comprising a transparent sight glass attachable to a machine such that machine fluid is transferable to the sight glass. The sight glass is at least partially constructed of one or more materials that is transparent to light in a visible region. The sight glass has an open first end, a closed second end, an inside surface and an outside surface extending from the open first end to the closed second end and across the closed second end, the sight glass at least partially surrounds a cavity within the sight glass, the inside surface and the outside surface of the closed second end being parallel. The closed second end is constructed of the one or more materials that are transparent to light in the visible region to allow inspection of machine fluid through the closed second end.
CAPTURING VEHICLE FLUID CHANGE HISTORY
Systems and methods for capturing fluid change history in a vehicle are provided. A method includes: detecting, by a computer device, a fill cap is removed from an inlet port of a fluid reservoir or a drain plug is removed from an outlet port of the fluid reservoir; activating, by the computer device and based on the detecting, one of a fill sensor and a drain sensor; obtaining, by the computer device, fluid characteristics data from one of the fill sensor and the drain sensor; determining, by the computer device, at least one fluid parameter based on the fluid characteristics data; and transmitting, by the computer device, the determined at least one fluid parameter to a remote system via a communication network that is external to the vehicle.
Dip stick housing and closure assembly
A fluid wand closure assembly includes a receiving tube with a wand receiving aperture and a predetermined external surface configuration. A wand holder fits within and abuts the receiving tube. A ring is configured to complement the external surface configuration and to abut the wand holder. Tightening the ring against the wand holder causes the ring to abut the wand holder and causes the wand holder to abut the receiving tube and seal the closure.
Oil change cap and system
An oil change cap and system are described. A removable oil cap kit includes a removable oil cap and an oil retention bag. The removable oil cap incudes a sidewall and an interior surface, the interior surface has an opening extending therethrough. The sidewall includes an inner portion and an outer portion. The outer portion of the sidewall includes a channel formed therein for retaining an oil retention bag. The inner portion of the sidewall includes one or more protrusions to couple the removable oil cap with the oil receptacle of a motor.
Oil and air separator system adapter and method
An adapter for the intake side of an oil and air separation system, including a first end portion capable of replacing an engine oil fill cap, the first end portion connected to an intermediate portion that removably engages with a second end portion including a hose coupling that allows the adapter to be connected to the intake side of an oil and air separation system via a hose.
GEARBOX FILLER ASSEMBLY
A gearbox filler assembly includes a cylindrical insert attached to an interior of a port disposed within a housing of the gearbox. The cylindrical insert has a first end disposed within the port, a second end extending outward from the port and is configured to receive a detachable filler cap, a retaining lip around at least a portion of a first interior circumference proximate to the first end, and a retaining slot around at least a second interior circumference between the retaining lip and the second end. A retaining ring is detachably coupled within the retaining slot. A cylindrical baffle is detachably retained between the retaining ring and the retaining lip.
Condition monitoring pod
Apparatuses are disclosed including an apparatus for machine fluid monitoring or sampling comprising a transparent sight glass attachable to a machine such that machine fluid is transferable to the sight glass. The sight glass may have one or more ports, an open first end, a closed second end, and a cavity for the machine fluid. A grommet may be positioned in a first port of the sight glass and may have a sealable access pathway through the grommet to the cavity within the sight glass through which a probe may be extended. A magnetic plug may be positioned in the second port of the sight glass extending into the cavity within the sight glass such that the magnetic plug is positionable for contact with the machine fluid. A sample port assembly may be connected to the sight glass whereby samples of the machine fluid are accessible.
OIL TANK CAP
An oil tank cap adapted to be removably engaged with an oil tank having an oil storing space. The oil tank cap includes a cap body, an air seal, and an air valve. The cap body includes an outer casing, and a cap base being plastic and one-piece, and defining an accommodation space with the outer casing. The cap base has an annular seat portion that has at least one exhaust hole, a tube portion, a separation portion having at least one ventilation hole. The air seal has a protrusion portion, and an annular body that encircles the ventilation holes. The air valve is inserted into the tube portion, is connected airtightly to the air seal, and is operable to open or close for balancing pressure of the oil storing space and pressure of an external environment.
