Provide is a PCV valve which can be quickly defreezed and provides a favorable sealing to the heater against the blow-by gas. The PCV valve (2) comprises a housing (6) defining a flow passage (4) for blow-by gas, a valve member (30) positioned in the flow passage to cooperate with a valve seat (18) formed in the housing, a spring (38) biasing the valve member toward the valve seat, a heat transmission member (40) including a heat dissipating part (42) surrounding the valve member, and a heating unit (52) including a heating element (66) for heating the heat transmission member, the heating element being separated from the flow passage in an air tight manner.

Reducing turbocharger ice damage

The present technology provides methods and systems for reducing ice buildup in a closed engine breather system. The systems comprise an air inlet duct, a compressor wheel and a compressor cover. The compressor cover comprises a breather gas port. The breather gas port is placed in the compressor cover at a location within close proximity to the leading edge of the compressor wheel so that the compressor wheel is capable of removing ice that accumulates at the breather gas port. The present technology also provides methods that include providing an air inlet duct, a compressor wheel, and a compressor cover with a breather gas port in the compressor cover. In this manner the compressor wheel can grind or shave off ice that accumulates at the breather gas port.

FLUID HEATING DEVICE OF ENGINE

A fluid heating device of an engine is provided that is capable of reducing power consumption of a heat source required for heating a fluid. The fluid heating device of the engine includes a heat radiation pipe through which a fluid passes and an induction heating coil. Heat of the heat radiation pipe that is inductively heated by the induction heating coil is radiated to the fluid. A whole periphery of the heat radiation pipe is surrounded by the induction heating coil. The induction heating coil is supported by the heat radiation pipe. A holder is included, and the induction heating coil is supported by the heat radiation pipe via the holder. The holder, to which the induction heating coil is attached, is detachably supported by the heat radiation pipe.

Blow-by gas recirculation apparatus

A blow-by gas recirculation apparatus which can release freezing of a PCV valve in a short period of time is obtained with a simple configuration. The blow-by gas recirculation apparatus is provided with the PCV valve at a case member of a gas space portion to which blow-by gas is sent in a manner that the PCV valve penetrates through the case member and a return path supplying the blow-by the gas, which is from the PCV valve, to an induction system of an engine. A heating portion to which part of oil lubricating the engine is supplied and thus which heats the PCV valve with heat of the oil is formed.
