GOLF COURSE PACE OF PLAY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A device and method for regulating a pace of golf play. A golf course is divided into segments, with each segment assigned a time for completion by a user golfer group. Spaced apart signal lights are positioned on the golf course. Each golfer group is provided with a wireless positioning device. A computing device compares an elapsed time for completion of a number of segments with the total assigned time for the number of segments completed. The computing device wirelessly actuates a visual signal to the golfer group by a signal light on the golf course when the elapsed time for completion of the number of segments by the user golfer group is greater than the total assigned time for the number of segments completed. The device and method take into account impediments to pace of play that are outside of the golfer group's control.
Athletic Data Aggregation for Online Communities
Systems and methods are provided for monitoring athletic performance data for a plurality of users and motivating increased athletic activity among users by providing challenges and suggestion for improving athletic performance. User athletic performance data and other information may be synchronized with an athletic monitoring service provider to associate various parameters of athletic performance with selected athletic activities in furtherance of determining and matching users with other challenge participants.
Online platform for maintaining multidisciplinary sport performance statistics and computing performance forecasts
The present disclosure describes a platform that allows individual users to maintain personal performance statistics, which, collectively, are used to determine and update difficulty ratings for various multi-stage sport courses. Ratings are determined for each leg of a given course. The platform enables a user to predict his or her performance on an unfamiliar course based on course ratings and the user's historical performance on other courses.
Disparity correction for location-aware distributed sporting events
Various embodiments facilitate location-aware distributed competitions. In one embodiment, a system facilitates a distributed sporting event that includes multiple players traveling over non-uniform courses that are remote from one another. The system includes a manager that receives state information, such as location information, from client devices used by each of the players. The manager then transmits location information for each of the players to the client devices, which are each configured to present a graphical representation, such as a map annotated with the locations of each of the players. The system corrects for disparities between the non-uniform courses traveled by the players, for example by mapping a location on a course traveled by a first player to a location on a course traveled by a second player. Various mechanisms for establishing the mapping between non-uniform courses are also described.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BOWLING GAME THROUGH NETWORK INTERCONNECT
A system for a bowling game through a network interconnect includes: an information collection unit collecting bowling game participation information and bowling alley information input from a portable device and a bowling alley server interconnected and accessing a network; a bowling game creation unit creating a team member by applying a penalty for each bowling average of each player based on the collected bowling game participation information; a score management unit calculating scores of each player and each team member, and determining rankings by using a bowling game image of each player transferred from each bowling alley based on the created team member; and a sharing support unit interlocking respective corresponding bowling alley servers with each other, authenticating a player performing the bowling game based on a screen image or motion information photographed, and transferring bowling game related information to the portable device.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A PERSON WITH TRAINING DATA OF AN ATHLETE AS THE ATHLETE IS PERFORMING A SWIMMING WORKOUT
An athlete tracking system and method for tracking an athlete during training sessions. The system includes a mobile tracking device wearable around a portion of the athlete's head, and a training log server for maintaining an athlete profile that includes a training record updatable by the athlete and a training plan supplied by a coach.
SYSTEM FOR PLANNING, MANAGING, AND ANALYZING SPORTS TEAMS AND EVENTS
A system for planning, managing, and analyzing sports teams and events. The system may include a content management function for storing data. The data can pertain to a plurality of sports-related statistics and a variety of identifying data. The system and method can also include an event management function for planning and evaluating sports-related events such as practices and games. The system and method can also include a report function which can provide a variety of statistical analyses.
Apparatus and method for the detection of timing components in swimming pools
Various embodiments provide an apparatus and method to detect timing components of a timing system. A processor sends signals to timing components and compares the responses with each other and with stored characteristic responses to detect if a timing component is present, if its characteristics have changed, to identify the connected timing component, and, if communication protocols are used, exchange data.
Digital golf assistant
A method includes maintaining a plurality of golf-related ability metrics from a plurality of users, each of the plurality of users having a respective scoring average or handicap that is within a predetermined tolerance of a scoring average or handicap of an individual user; determining a statistical distribution of each of the plurality of ability metrics; receiving score data from the individual user corresponding to a plurality of shots performed on a golf course; determining an ability metric from the score data received from the individual user; generating a visual image that illustrates the determined ability metric within the statistical distribution; and displaying the visual image via the electronic user interface.
EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A treadmill includes a deck having a continuous track, and a plurality of slats fixedly connected to the track. The treadmill also includes a first post extending from the deck, a second post extending from the deck opposite the first post, and a first arm supported by the first post and including a first rotary control. The treadmill further includes a second arm opposite the first arm and supported by the second post. The second arm includes a second rotary control separate from the first rotary control. The first rotary control is configured to control a first function of the treadmill and the second rotary control is configured to control a second function of the treadmill different from the first function.
