System for providing a coach with live training data of an athlete as the athlete is training
An athlete tracking system and method for tracking an athlete during training sessions. The system includes a mobile tracking device wearable around a portion of the athlete's head, and a training log server for maintaining an athlete profile that includes a training record updatable by the athlete and a training plan supplied by a coach.
PLAYER PROFILE DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A method for managing sports data is provided. In one example, the method includes, responsive to receiving, at a display of a computing device, a request for initiating a sub-event of a sporting event, accumulating data at a computing device during a sub-event of a sporting event. Transmission of the data to a central database may be delayed based on a pre-set delay interval. Upon receiving confirmation of completion of the pre-set delay interval, the data may be transmitted to the central database and correlated with hierarchically-arranged data profiles stored at the central database.
Baseball Players' Rating System
A system for real-time rating and rankings of baseball players, which includes a server, one or more databases, and a ranking processing engine with a machine learning module. The system is accessible via a network by a plurality of clients, each of which includes a software application for displaying the ratings and statistics of baseball players. The system uses a plurality of performance parameters and a plurality of weighting factors for weighting the performance parameters. A machine learning algorithm is used for supervising the weighting factors for creating ratings of baseball players. The system provides the rankings to the clients via the software application, enabling fans, baseball organizations, media outlets, and other interested parties to track the performance of players in a more accurate and comprehensive manner. The system will create a unified world baseball ranking and assist in predicting the outcome of an individual or team match up.
SMART SPORTS EQUIPMENT AND INTEGRATED PLATFORM
Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for smart sports equipment and integrated platforms. An example method can include receiving, by an integrated platform and from a client device, a request for content associated with a smart ball having a communications device configured to communicate an address for the content to one or more client devices, the request being based on the address from the smart ball; in response to the request, retrieving, by the integrated platform, the content associated with the smart ball; and providing, by the integrated platform, the content to the client device.
GOLF TOURNAMENT METHOD
Methods and devices for a golf tournament method are described, in which there are two player teams, where each team's players participate as both a golfer and a caddie in the same golf tournament, which has multiple rounds and may be played under various golf game formats.
Video-based motion counting and analysis systems and methods for virtual fitness application
A system and method for implementing a virtual fitness application are disclosed. Embodiments may be built for various platforms, including web browsers and mobile phones. One embodiment uses pose estimation to count the repetitive motions of a fitness activity (e.g., running). In one embodiment, to count the repetitive motions, a repetitive motion counting process is used that is based on computing differences of Y-coordinates of key points of the user. The repetitive motion counting process includes selecting a proper pose of the user; computing one or more delta values (corresponding to Y-coordinate changes of the key points); and counting a given user movement as a repetitive motion based on a function (e.g., average) of the delta values. One embodiment uses the pose estimation and repetitive motion count results to provide a gamified experience, for example, a leaderboard, a stats report, instant visual feedback, badges, coins, and a social experience.
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems and methods
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems include components for measuring or sensing athletic performance data and/or for storing and/or displaying desired information associated with the athletic performance to the user (or others). Such systems can allow users a wide variety of options in creating workouts, selecting and presenting media content during the athletic performance, etc., e.g., to help keep users entertained and motivated. In some instances, user feedback may be used, optionally in combination with objective data relating to a workout, to control features of the workout routine, to control the music or other media content selected and/or presented, and/or to control features of future workout routines and/or the presented media content.
