An object of the present invention is to suppress conduction between an anode and a cathode caused by condensed water in an oil removal apparatus in which oil particles are trapped in a filter disposed between the anode and the cathode. A bipolar electrode having an anode and a cathode that extend in a flow direction of blow-by gas, and a filter formed from an insulator and disposed between the anode and the cathode of the bipolar electrode are housed in a case. Further, when the oil removal apparatus is installed in a vehicle, the bipolar electrode and the filter are disposed in the case so as to be arranged in a horizontal direction, and a space through which the blow-by gas flows is formed between a lower inner wall surface of the case, and the bipolar electrode and filter.

Cover assembly

The invention relates to a cover assembly for covering of a cylinder head with a lid, a frame and at least one air-oil separator, as well as the use of such a cover assembly as an enclosure for at least one cylinder head of a combustion engine of a vehicle or a combustion engine for stationary use.

Reciprocating internal combustion engine

A reciprocating internal combustion engine includes at least one piston, which is operatively connected by two connecting rods having two crankshafts rotating in opposite directions and running parallel to each other, which crankshafts are oriented in an upright manner to a horizontal water line of a boat, and an internal combustion engine housing of the internal combustion engine is composed of at least a cylinder crank housing and a cylinder head, having inlet and outlet valves, and is bounded by an upper end face and a bottom end face. To optimize the internal combustion engine, a joint ventilation system has an oil separating device provided with an oil pre-separator and a main oil separator, via which, when operating the internal combustion engine, a mixture of oil and leaking gas, resulting in a crankcase of the cylinder crank housing, reaches, by way of a discharge line extending adjacent to the upper end face, the oil pre-separator, from where the mixture of oil and leaking gas is led into the main oil separator and there is separated into the components of oil and leaking gas. The oil flows into an oil pan connecting at the bottom end face and the leaking gas near the upper end face flows into an intake system of the internal combustion engine.

Pressure-limiting valve

A pressure-limiting valve for use in a gas line conveying a gas that includes aerosols. The pressure-limiting valve has a movable valve body, a valve seat, and a compressible coalescing medium placed therebetween. The valve body has passages and nozzle openings and the valve seat has through-holes. In the closed position, the valve functions in separator mode and in the fully open position, in impactor mode. The pressure-limiting valve according to the invention provides a more sensitive response to varying flow conditions, due to deviating surface profiles of the valve seat and coalescing medium, which provide intermediate stages of separator and impactor modes as a function of the volume of flow.

Engine oil pan

The present invention discloses an engine oil pan, which includes a cylinder block, wherein a plurality of arc-shaped grooves are disposed on the second end surface of the cylinder block along the axial direction of a crank shaft; the arc-shaped grooves form arc-shaped bulges in a sunk portion on the first end surface of the cylinder block; the arc-shaped bulges divide the sunk portion into first space and second space; a platform is disposed inside the sunk portion of the cylinder block; and the height of the platform is lower than the height of the arc-shaped bulges. The technical solution employed by the present invention enables lubricating oil in the engine oil pan to flow more effectively, and enables the lubricating oil in the oil pan to be utilized more effectively when the engine is used in any position.

There is provided a breather device for an engine and capable of suppressing forming of separated oil into mist again. The breather device for the engine includes an oil filter chamber at a midpoint of a blow-by gas passing route and an oil filter housed in the oil filter chamber. The oil filter chamber is partitioned with a partition wall into an upstream filter chamber and a downstream filter chamber arranged in a front-back direction, the filter is formed by an upstream filter and a downstream filter, the upstream filter is housed in the upstream filter chamber and the downstream filter is housed in the downstream filter chamber, respectively, and a side gas expansion chamber is provided beside the oil filter chamber so that blow-by gas flows from the upstream filter into the downstream filter through the side gas expansion chamber.

OIL SEPARATION DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

To improve the oil separation performance in an oil separation device for an internal combustion engine. The oil separation device (10) comprises a gas liquid separation passage (56) internally defined by a lower wall, an upper wall and a pair of side walls, and extending in a horizontal direction, a gas inlet (54) and a gas outlet (63) provided on either end of the gas liquid separation passage, a plurality of lower partition walls (56H) projecting upward from the lower wall, and a plurality of upper partition walls (56J) projecting downward from the upper wall. The lower partition walls and the upper partition wall are tilted with respective the length wise direction in plan view so as to define a spiral passage. The lower wall is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane such that an upstream part of the lower wall is lower than a downstream part of the lower wall with respect to a direction of the swirl flow.
