Muffler for vehicle for implementing sporty exhaust sound
A muffler for a vehicle includes: a case sealed at both ends by first and second side panels; first and second baffle plates installed in the case; a first chamber formed between the first side panel and the first baffle plate; a second chamber formed between the first baffle plate and the second baffle plate; a third chamber formed between the second baffle plate and the second side panel; an intake tube passing through the first side panel, and the first and second baffle plates, and including a first hole formed in a first body section located in the first chamber, and a second hole formed in a second body section located in the second chamber; and a pair of exhaust tubes passing through the first and second baffle plates, and the second side panel, and including a vent hole formed in body section located in the second chamber.
Muffler with interconnected pipes
A muffler, in particular a rear muffler, for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine, in particular a motor vehicle engine, comprises a housing, in particular a housing having a jacket and two end walls, and comprises at least one first pipe, in particular an inlet or outlet pipe which is in particular led through the jacket and which is connected to a second pipe, in particular to an inner pipe. The second pipe comprises a pipe piece into which a pipe piece of the first pipe led through an opening of an inner support element is plugged in an axially displaceable manner. In this respect, the pipe piece of the first pipe is preferably provided with slits into which nubs engage which are provided at the inner boundary of the opening of the support element. The end section of the first pipe is expanded in its region plugged into the pipe piece of the second pipe to fix the first pipe at the support element.
Silencer insert, silencer comprising the same and method for manufacturing a silencer insert
A silencer insert (10) for a silencer of an exhaust system includes a first and a second partition wall (11, 12) and a connecting wall (13) arranged therebetween. The first partition wall (11) defines a first plane (E1), the second partition wall (12) defines a second plane (E2), and the connecting wall (13) defines a third plane (E3). At least one of the first partition wall, the second partition wall, and the connecting wall includes at least one perforated area (15). The connecting wall (13) is formed in one piece with the first partition wall (11) and the second partition wall (12). The first plane encloses with the second plane an angle of not more than 60°, the first plane and the second plane being particularly in parallel. A silencer is provided including a housing (1) receiving the silencer insert (10). A method is provided for manufacturing the silencer insert.
Exhaust muffler
An exhaust gas stream for an internal combustion engine includes a muffler housing (12) with a first chamber (14) and a second chamber (16). An exhaust gas inlet (24) has a first chamber opening area (30) and a second chamber opening area (32). An exhaust gas outlet (36) is open in an outlet opening area (42) towards the first chamber. A connection opening (50) is provided between the first chamber and the second chamber and has an exhaust valve arrangement associated therewith, including a valve element (56) including a closing area (58) closing the connection opening in a closed position of the exhaust valve arrangement (52). The exhaust valve arrangement includes an actuating area (64) associated with the inlet second opening area for generating an actuating force acting on the exhaust valve arrangement, moving from the closed position in the direction of an open position by exhaust gas bypass flow.
Muffler for vehicle
A muffler for a vehicle includes a first expansion chamber in which an exhaust gas flowing in from an inlet pipe is expanded, and a bracket that is placed on an inner surface of the first expansion chamber to oppose a blow-off port of the inlet pipe and that has a mountain shape protruding toward a side of the inlet pipe. The bracket includes a top surface which opposes the blow-off port of the inlet pipe, and inclined surfaces which incline from the top surface toward corners of the first expansion chamber.
IMPROVED MUFFLER
A muffler comprises a plurality of tubes disposed within an inner chamber. The holes are at least partially punched through the tubes so that hanging chads extend into the tubes at each hole. The tubes form a serpentine flow-path through the chamber through which exhaust flows. One or more diffusion brackets are also disposed within the chamber and downstream from one or more tube outlets.
Muffler
A muffler, connected to an engine through an exhaust pipe, includes a shell serving as a muffler body, an inlet pipe configured to introduce exhaust gas from the engine into the shell, an outlet pipe configured to discharge the exhaust gas out of the shell, and a cap configured to be attached to a narrowed portion of the inlet pipe and control the direction in which the exhaust gas flows out. The cap is provided with an opening through which the exhaust gas passes and which regulates the direction in which the exhaust gas flows out.
Vehicle exhaust system
A vehicle exhaust system includes a tubular component having an inner surface and an outer surface such that the inner surface defines a primary exhaust gas flow path. The tubular component extends along a central axis from an inlet end to an outlet end. The tubular component includes at least one ridge extending at least partly along a circumference of the tubular component. The at least one ridge includes a first portion angularly extending inwardly from the tubular component, and a second portion disposed downstream of the first portion. The second portion angularly extends inwardly from the tubular component. In some cases, the second portion defines a plurality of openings extending therethrough and spaced apart from each other. In some cases, the tubular component defines a plurality of tube openings disposed downstream of the at least one ridge.
Air exhausting device
An air exhausting device includes an inlet pipe that couples an exhaust pipe of an engine to a muffler, an outlet pipe that is a path to discharge an exhaust gas inside the muffler to outside air, and the muffler divided into a plurality of chambers by separators. The muffler is configured of a first expansion chamber, a second expansion chamber with which the outlet pipe is communicated, and a third expansion chamber. The inlet pipe is communicated with the first expansion chamber. The outlet pipe is communicated with the second expansion chamber. The first expansion chamber is adjacent to and communicated with the second expansion chamber via a first pipe. The second expansion chamber is communicated with the third expansion chamber via a second pipe. The first expansion chamber is communicated with the third expansion chamber via a third pipe.
