Vacuum pump silencer
A silencer for vacuum pumps which allows only for unidirectional flow and which reduces the noises caused by the air discharged at the exhaust of said pump. The silencer features baffles to divert and disrupt the flow and an umbrella check valve to ensure the unidirectionality of the discharge flow.
Exhaust orifice tube for vehicle mufflers
A vehicle exhaust system is provided. The exhaust system may include a muffler including a casing, an inlet tube extending therethrough, and an outlet pipe partially disposed therein. The exhaust system may also include an orifice tube that may have a tapered body inserted within an end of the outlet pipe that is disposed between a baffle and a wall of the casing. The orifice tube may also include an inlet portion flared from the tapered body configured to attenuate noise of exhaust gas funneling into the outlet pipe.
Vehicle muffler
A vehicle muffler may include first to third baffles to partition the internal to a housing into first to fourth chambers; a suction tube penetrating the housing, the first to third baffles in series, having an inlet at outside of the housing and an outlet in the fourth chamber, and having through-holes in the section locating in the first to third chambers; a first discharge tube penetrating the first and second baffles and the housing in series, having an inlet on the first baffle, and an outlet at outside of the housing; a second discharge tube penetrating the second and third baffles, and the housing in series, having an inlet in the second chamber, and an outlet at the outside of the housing; and a connection tube penetrating the second and third baffles in series, having an inlet in the second chamber, and an outlet in the fourth chamber.
EXHAUST SYSTEM AND MUFFLER
A muffler for use with an engine is provided. The muffler includes a first tube defining a first inlet and a first outlet spaced apart from the first inlet. The first tube is configured to receive exhaust at the first inlet. The muffler includes a second tube spaced apart from the first tube. The second tube defines a second inlet and a second outlet spaced apart from the second inlet. The second tube is configured to receive exhaust at the second inlet. The muffler includes a third tube disposed at least partly around the second tube. The third tube defines a third outlet spaced apart from each of the second inlet and the second outlet. The third outlet is in fluid communication with the second outlet of the second tube. The muffler also includes at least one outlet tube in fluid communication with the first outlet and the third outlet.
EXHAUST SOUND ATTENUATION DEVICE
An exhaust muffler for an internal combustion engine includes a housing. A plurality of partitions are disposed within the housing, defining a plurality of chambers. An inlet pipe and an outlet pipe are also disposed within the housing and both the inlet and outlet pipes include a perforated region. The perforated region permits fluid communication between the inlet pipe, outlet pipe and the plurality of chambers. To attenuate engine noise, the perforated regions of the inlet and outlet pipes are positioned at opposite ends of the housing, forcing the exhaust gas to pass through each of the plurality of partitions and chambers, thereby damping the sound waves with minimum effect on engine back pressure levels. Alternatively, the perforated regions of the inlet and outlet pipes may be aligned in a cross-flow chamber.
Muffler for motor vehicles
A muffler (4) for motor vehicles comprising an intake pipe (8) of the exhaust gases that separates, at a fork (10), into a main pipe (12) and a secondary pipe (16), a muffler body (24) which delimits an expansion volume (28) and houses at least partly the main pipe (12) and the secondary pipe (16), wherein the intake pipe (8) of the exhaust gas is in fluid continuous connection with the main pipe (12) through the secondary pipe (16), and wherein the main pipe (12) comprises, downstream of the fork (10), a throttle valve (32) which allows or prevents a further fluidic connection of the intake pipe (8) of exhaust gas with the main pipe (12), and an output of the exhaust gases (40), for the expulsion of the gases from the muffler pipe (4).
Damper Valve Assembly
A damper valve assembly for an exhaust system of a vehicle includes a valve housing and a valve flap. The valve housing is adapted to be attached to a pipe of the exhaust system and defines an opening. The valve flap is rotatable relative to the valve housing and about a pivot axis between a first position whereat fluid flow through the opening of the valve housing is restricted and a second position whereat fluid flow through the opening of the valve housing is allowed. The valve flap includes a body and a mass damper. The mass damper is integral with the body and includes a plurality of segments that are folded so that the plurality of segments are in a stacked arrangement.

Pipe and metal sheet subassembly for an exhaust treatment device
A method of manufacturing a subassembly for an exhaust treatment device includes providing a metal sheet including first and second apertures having respective first and second sizes, and a one-piece pipe including first and second linear portions having respective third and fourth sizes. The method further includes defining the first size based on a first difference between the first size and the third size being less than or equal to a predetermined value, and defining the second size based on manufacturing tolerances of the pipe to assure that the second linear portion will pass through the second aperture while the first linear portion passes through the first aperture. The method further includes fixing the first linear portion to the sheet, expanding the second linear portion from the fourth size to an enlarged size less than or equal to the predetermined value, and fixing the second linear portion to the sheet.
Muffler with easy discharge of condensate
