An exhaust energy recovery system (EERS) and associated methods for an engine are disclosed. An embodiment of an EERS, for example, includes an inlet duct that is configured to divert exhaust gas from an exhaust duct of the engine into the recovery system and an outlet duct configured to return the exhaust gas to the exhaust duct downstream of the inlet duct. The recovery system is configured to heat components or fluids associated with engine to operating temperatures. The recovery system may be part of a mobile power system that is mounted to a single trailer and includes an engine and a power unit such as a high pressure pump or generator mounted to the trailer. Methods of operating and purging recovery systems are also disclosed.

An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler assembly can be used to perform heat exchange between cooling water and exhaust gas. The EGR cooler assembly includes an EGR cooler in which cooling water flows, and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) including a housing accommodating therein the EGR cooler and a filter unit for post-treatment of the exhaust gas. An inside of the housing is sectioned by a partition into a first space in which the EGR cooler is inserted and a second space in contact with the filter unit, and the partition has a flow hole formed thereon in order to allow the exhaust gas to flow to the EGR cooler.

A system and method for treating turbine exhaust gas for improved operational flexibility includes a turbine exhaust gas discharge structure, a catalytic turbine exhaust gas treatment device positioned at least partially within the turbine exhaust gas discharge structure, a pump, and at least two heat exchangers. A first heat exchanger is positioned at least partially within the turbine exhaust gas discharge structure to remove heat from turbine exhaust gas by transferring heat to a working fluid. A second heat exchanger removes heat from the working fluid gained at the first heat exchanger. The pump drives the working fluid between the first and second heat exchanger. In a further embodiment, the catalytic turbine exhaust gas treatment device is replaced by a heat recovery steam generator.
