Engine device
An engine device including an exhaust gas purification device above cylinder head through a support pedestal. The support pedestal has a flat portion on which the exhaust gas purification device is mounted, and a plurality of legs which protrude downward from the flat portion and are fixed to the cylinder head. The flat portion and the leg portions are formed integrally. Portions between the legs are each formed in an arch-shape.

Internal combustion engine with rotating pistons and cylinders and related devices and methods of using the same
The present invention provides a novel internal combustion engine design and methods for using the same. The internal combustion engine of the present invention may include two rotors on which the pistons and cylinders and pistons are mounted, respectively. A plurality of cylinders mounted on a cylinder rotor, and a plurality of pistons mounted on a piston rod rotor, where the arrangements of the pistons and cylinders are complementary and each piston is paired with one of the cylinders. The cylinder rotor and the piston rod rotor may be position at oblique angle relative to one another, such that their central axes are located on a same plane, but the axes are not coaxially aligned and intersect on that plane.

Engine exhaust heat management system
A heat management system for air-cooled engines suitable to power yard care equipment or vehicles. The system may generally comprise an engine, a blower configured to blow ambient cooling air across the engine, and an exhaust system comprising an exhaust header and a muffler. The exhaust header has an inlet end which receives heated exhaust gas from the engine and an outlet end fluidly coupled to the muffler. An air control baffle is configured to redirect a portion of the cooling air from the blower towards the exhaust header and the muffler to enhance cooling the exhaust system. The system may further include an outermost protective shield exposed to equipment operators and an inner heat barrier or shield located between the muffler and protective shield. The system is designed to ameliorate both radiative and convective sources of heat transfer to maintain the protective shield at temperatures below established industry standards.

Isolation valve for spark-ignition piston engines
A valve comprising a stationary shell and a rotatable annular core is designed for installation on the block deck of a spark-ignition piston engine, with there being one valve installed on the engine's block for every cylinder in the block. Rotation of the annular core cyclically opens and closes the ignition pathway(s) extending between the internal volume of the valve's associated cylinder and the spark plug(s) initiating combustion within the cylinder, with the pathway(s) only being open during time intervals wherein the spark plug(s) are electrically activated as part of the engine's normal operating cycle. Control of the open-closed status of the ignition pathway(s) eliminates engine pre-fire events caused by hot points on the spark plug(s). The valve also provides improved technology for directing and regulating the flow of fuel, oxidant, and exhaust gases as they are transferred into and out of the valve's associated cylinder.
