EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR A WORK VEHICLE
An exhaust system with a multipiece heat shield for a work vehicle includes a first shield part and a second shield part. The first shield part surrounds an aftertreatment unit for aftertreating exhaust gases. The first shield part extends in an axial direction. The second shield part surrounds an exhaust tailpipe with radial spacing between the second shield part and the exhaust tailpipe. The second shield extends in the axial direction from the first shield part, wherein a radial gap between the first and second shield parts is sealed by a seal. In a starting position, the seal has two free ends arranged in the circumferential direction of the heat shield, which are arranged adjoining or overlapping one another in the circumferential direction when the seal is in a sealing position.

Constraints on arrangement of catalysts are reduced, and early activation and long-term performance maintenance of the catalysts are both achieved. An exhaust pipe includes a first catalyst provided in a first exhaust pipe extending upward on the side of an exhaust manifold, and a second catalyst provided in a second exhaust pipe that extends downward from a bent pipe extending from the first exhaust pipe and that is adjacent to the first exhaust pipe. The second catalyst is disposed at a position offset to a higher location from an up-down middle position of the first exhaust pipe.

A vehicle exhaust system includes an inner pipe in which exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine flows, and an outer pipe surrounding a part of the inner pipe. One end of the outer pipe is formed to have a diameter smaller than that of other portions of the outer pipe, and fixed to an outer surface of the inner pipe. A region of the outer pipe from the other end before the one end is a free region unattached to the outer surface of the inner pipe.

Exhaust gas cleaning apparatus
There is provided an exhaust gas cleaning apparatus for cleaning exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine that includes an upstream side exhaust pipe and a downstream side exhaust pipe that are located on an upstream side and a downstream side, respectively, with respect to a flow direction of the exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine. A filter unit is disposed between the upstream side exhaust pipe and the downstream side exhaust pipe and removably connected at opposite sides thereof to the upstream side exhaust pipe and the downstream side exhaust pipe. The filter unit includes a filter that captures particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas flowing in the upstream side exhaust pipe, a casing in which the filter is accommodated, and a thermal insulator that covers an entire outer peripheral surface of the casing. A handle is provided on the thermal insulator.

Provided is a shield in which a flexible member is interposed between two metal plates; still unfilled spaces that are not filled with the flexible member are secured, so that the shielding properties are improved by air layers. The shield 1A includes two metal plates 2, 3 disposed to face each other, and a plate-shaped flexible member 4 interposed between the two metal plates. Each of the two metal plates 2, 3 has a plurality of protrusion-depression structures. Gap-forming means is provided to form gaps of a width greater than the thickness of the flexible member 4 between the two metal plates 2, 3 when the flexible member 4 is interposed therebetween. Unfilled spaces (5) that are not filled with the flexible member 4 are provided between the two metal plates 2, 3.
