Mixing conduits including swirler vanes for use within an exhaust treatment system
A mixing conduit for use within an exhaust treatment system of a work vehicle. The mixing conduit is configured to receive engine exhaust and a mixture of engine exhaust and reductant. The mixing conduit includes an outer tube and an inner tube within the outer tube. Each tube extends lengthwise from upstream ends to downstream ends of the inner and outer tubes, respectively. The inner tube includes an exterior surface, and the outer tube includes an interior surface. The inner tube defines an inner flowpath within the inner tube. The outer tube and inner tube also define an outer flowpath radially between the exterior surface of the inner tube and the interior surface of the outer tube. The mixing conduit further includes one or more swirler vanes extending radially between the exterior surface of the inner tube and the interior surface of the outer tube and within the outer flowpath.
EXHAUST-GAS GUIDING HOUSING
An exhaust-gas guiding housing for an exhaust-gas system of an internal combustion engine includes an air inlet housing part through which exhaust gas can flow in an exhaust-gas main flow direction and which has a housing wall surrounding a housing longitudinal axis. At least one air inlet opening is provided in at least one air inlet peripheral region of the housing wall. An inner wall is provided at an inner side of the air inlet housing part, which inner wall, together with the housing wall, defines an air inlet chamber. The at least one air inlet opening is open to the air inlet chamber. At least one air passage opening is provided in the inner wall, and/or at least one air passage opening is formed between the inner wall and the housing wall.
WATER DRAINAGE ASSEMBLIES FOR AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEMS
A water drainage assembly for an aftertreatment system includes: a tube having an inlet structured to be coupled to an outlet conduit of an aftertreatment system; a drain port extending through the tube; a first baffle disposed in the tube, a first baffle first end attached to an inner surface of the tube at a first location, wherein at least a portion of the first baffle is inclined downwards with respect to gravity; and a second baffle disposed in the tube below the first baffle, a second baffle first end being coupled to the inner surface of the tube at a second location that is opposite to and below the first location, wherein at least a portion of the second baffle is inclined upwards with respect to gravity.
Flow path structure of heat exchanger, and heat exchanger
A heat exchanger 100 includes: an inner cylinder 10 through which a first fluid can flow, the inner cylinder 10 being configured to be capable of housing a heat recovery member 40; an outer cylinder 20 disposed so as to be spaced on a radially outer side of the inner cylinder 10 such that a second fluid can flow between the outer cylinder 20 and the inner cylinder 10; and an intermediate cylinder 30 disposed between the inner cylinder 10 and the outer cylinder 20, the intermediate cylinder 30 partitioning a flow path for the second fluid into an inner flow path 31b and an outer flow path 31a. In the heat exchanger, the intermediate cylinder 30 includes communication holes 32 that are communicated in a radial direction, and the communication holes 32 are provided in an axial direction of the intermediate cylinder 30.
MOTORCYCLE EXHAUST WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER
A catalytic converter for treatment of exhaust gases from a motorcycle engine includes a housing having an upstream end and a downstream end. A housing body extends between the upstream end and the downstream end. A catalyst mantle is positioned within the body of the housing such that a void is formed between the catalyst mantle and the housing body. A catalyst is positioned within the catalyst mantle. An insulator is positioned within the void between the housing body and the catalyst mantle.
Device for post-treatment of exhaust gases of a lean burning internal combustion engine
The invention relates to a device for post-treatment of exhaust gases of a lean burning internal combustion engine, in particular a diesel internal combustion engine, with an exhaust gas channel in which downstream of a reducing agent metering device there is a catalytic converter for selective catalytic reduction as an SCR catalytic converter. According to the invention, the exhaust gas channel section which, viewed in the exhaust gas flow direction, extends between the reducing agent metering device and the SCR catalytic converter, is made as a preferably air gap-insulated exhaust gas channel section.
Exhaust structure of internal combustion engine
An exhaust structure of an internal combustion engine having an exhaust passage communicating between an exhaust port and an exhaust pipe. The exhaust structure includes a heat insulating component covering an inner wall of the exhaust port, the heat insulating component includes a first abutting portion disposed at a first side of the heat insulating component at a combustion chamber side and abutting an inner wall of the exhaust port, a second abutting portion disposed at a second side of the heat insulating component at an exhaust pipe side and abutting the inner wall, and a middle section disposed between the first side and the second side. A gap is formed between the middle section and the inner wall, and a bent portion connecting the middle section and the first abutting portion is bending toward the inner wall of the exhaust port from the middle section.
THIN FOIL ENCAPSULATED ASSEMBLIES
An injector tube assembly that includes thin foil insulation around a receiver tube and a relatively rigid housing secured to the thin foil and bearing on tube insulation while also being packed with junction insulation.
Loose-fill insulation exhaust gas treatment device and methods of manufacturing
An exhaust gas treatment device, which includes an outer layer, an inner layer that is at least in part disposed within the outer layer, and a loose-fill insulation disposed in the volume between the outer layer and the inner layer, where a piece of fiber mat is disposed between the outer layer and the inner layer and forms a barrier that at least partially prevents the loss of the loose-fill insulation from the volume between the outer layer and the inner layer and a manufacturing method that includes placing a loose-fill insulation into the volume of space between an inner layer and an outer layer and positioning a piece of fiber mat between the outer layer and the inner layer to form a barrier that at least partially prevents the loss of the loose-fill insulation from the volume of space between the outer and inner layers.
