An apparatus comprised of a first portion comprising a generally flexible fabric, and a second portion or layer comprising a gel material formed in a generally planar rectangular shape. Positioned below the second layer is a third portion or a damping layer having a series of dampers positioned thereon, where the dampers are elastomeric flexible and compressible. The three portions are laminated together.

A method of game playing known as Forehand Strike™ according to the present invention is a game being played on a court having a pair of service areas on each side of a net using a slow bouncing ball and a hand covering and striking the slow bouncing ball with a forehand shot. The method includes bouncing the slow bouncing ball one time and serving a shot diagonally over the net into an opposite service area of player 2 using a palm of a first user's hand, striking a return shot over the net and into either one of the pair of service areas of the first player, each player continuing to return a subsequent shot across the net and into one of the two service areas of an opposing player after the slow bouncing ball has bounced only once until one of the subsequent shots lands outside both of the service areas of the opposing player, and awarding a point to the player making a last valid shot into one of the service areas of the opposing player. Disclosed herein is a boxing glove that includes an interior liner. The interior liner comprises an exterior surface and an interior surface. The interior surface defines an interior pocket configured to receive a hand of a user. The boxing glove also includes a shock-absorption layer that is coupled with at least a portion of the exterior surface of the interior liner. A sports glove, such as a lacrosse glove or a hockey glove, for a player or other wearer. The sports glove comprises a hand covering for protecting a hand of the wearer. The hand covering comprises protective padding. The hand covering comprises a palm portion for overlying a palm of the wearer's hand, a back portion for overlying a back of the wearer's hand, finger portions for receiving fingers of the wearer's hand, and a thumb portion for receiving a thumb of the wearer's hand.
