SYSTEM FOR EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
System (1) for the purification of exhaust gases (S) of an endothermic engine (100), comprising at least one duct (2) for exhausting the gases produced by said endothermic engine, means (3) for cooling said exhaust gases which cross said duct (2) so that to cause, at least in part, the condensation of the water vapor contained in said exhaust gases in water (AC), and means (4) for separating the condensed water (AC), which is condensed by said cooling means along the exhaust duct, from the exhaust gases and for deviating it along a secondary duct (10), said system being characterized by further comprising filtering means (5), which are arranged downstream of said separating means (4) along said secondary duct (10), for filtering said condensed and separated water (AC).
Tank with integrated siphon
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a diesel exhaust fluid tank for a vehicle. An exemplary diesel exhaust fluid tank includes a tank body to store diesel exhaust fluid, a tank supply line to deliver the diesel exhaust fluid to a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) device, and a tank siphon line to drain the diesel exhaust fluid from the tank body. The tank siphon line is mounted to the tank body and includes a siphon inlet (e.g., devoid of a filter) at or proximate to a bottom wall of the tank body. The integrated tank siphon line avoids any need to remove tank components to feed a siphon tube into a tank. Further, the tank siphon line leverages preexisting components in the diesel exhaust fluid tank and/or the vehicle to siphon diesel exhaust fluid as needed.
Filter arrangement for a selective catalytic reduction system
The present disclosure is directed towards a filter arrangement for a reductant supply system of a selective catalytic reduction system. The reductant supply system comprises a tank and a suction tube mounted at least partially in the tank for receiving reductant liquid from the tank. The filter arrangement comprises a restraining body, a filter at least partially forming a filter chamber, a filter outlet from the filter chamber formed through the restraining body and/or filter and a filter mount mounted to the restraining body and/or filter. The restraining body extends radially outwardly from the filter mount and is configured to restrain the filter such that, under the effect of buoyancy in the tank in use, gas in the filter chamber is directed towards the filter outlet.
Method and apparatus to enhance fractional efficiency of diesel and gasoline particulate filters
An exhaust aftertreatment system for increasing fractional efficiency of diesel or gasoline particulate filters includes a particulate filter that includes a housing and a filter substrate positioned in the housing. The filter substrate is pre-conditioned with an aqueous solution or suspension configured to decompose or evaporate in response to exposure to heat so as to precondition the filter substrate.

Suction tube filter arrangement and fluid tank system for a fluid tank
A suction tube filter arrangement includes a suction tube defining a suction tube direction and a filter member extending along the suction tube direction. The suction tube is at least partially arranged inside the filter member.
Integrated base filter for a DEF manifold
A base filter for a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) filter of a header assembly in a fluid reservoir is disclosed may include first and second semi-cylindrical holder portions having a semi-cylindrical walls concluding at abutment surfaces that face and engage when the base filter is assembled. The semi-cylindrical holder portions have one or more mounting tabs extending inward from inner surfaces of the semi-cylindrical walls. The header assembly may include a header with a cylindrical header boss having mounting recess defined therein. The mounting tabs may be circumferentially spaced about the semi-cylindrical walls to align with and be inserted into the mounting recesses of the header boss the base filter is assembled on the cylindrical header boss. Fasteners may be inserted through fastener bosses of the semi-cylindrical holder portions and into fastener bores of the header boss to hold the semi-cylindrical holder portions together and on the header.
AUTOMATIC DRAINING OF WATER-FUEL SEPARATOR VIA DOWNSTREAM INJECTION SYSTEM
A diesel engine system includes an engine, an exhaust system connected to the engine, and a water-fuel separator. The exhaust system has an aftertreatment device, an exhaust pipe upstream of the aftertreatment device, and a fuel injector connected to the exhaust pipe. The water-fuel separator has a filter configured to separate water from fuel and a reservoir configured to store the separated water. The reservoir is in fluid communication with the fuel injector.
Method for calibrating a UWS quality sensor
The present invention relates to a method for calibrating a UWS quality sensor arranged in a motor vehicle. In the method, the calibration of the UWS quality sensor takes place in an installed situation of the UWS quality sensor in the UWS tank.
Filter assembly for reductant storage system
A reductant storage system for an internal combustion engine system includes a storage container having a bottom wall, a top wall opposite the bottom wall, an opening extending through the top wall, and a reservoir formed by a hollow interior of the storage container and a filter assembly. The filter assembly extends through the opening and include a filtering material and a gasket integrally formed with the filtering material. The gasket includes a proximal flange that is larger than the opening and including a sealing surface in sealing contact with the storage container.
