Perfecto Abb
An exercise device usable on a ground surface having a base member which is able to travel along the ground surface. An elongated gripping member is adjustably supported from the base member to accommodate persons of different physical dimensions, to allow such persons to hold the gripping member in a prone and slightly elevated position.
Mobility device
A mobility device designed to extend the usable field of movement for people with physical limitations by allowing them to descend to the ground and ascend to an upright position with ease. A user may bring the device within their vicinity, grab onto the articulating handles and safely reach the ground to engage in a ground activity. When the ground activity is completed, the user simply grabs onto the sloping handholds and ascends step-by-step until they have made their way to a standing position. The device is portable and can be stowed around the home. It is likely to be close to the user at all times, thus it is a safe means of ensuring support when a caretaker is not present.
RESTORING MECHANISM AND EXERCISING DEVICE
A restoring mechanism for providing a restoring force to an exercising device which includes a fixing structure and a wheel is provided. The restoring mechanism includes a restoring set, a driving set and a connecting set. The restoring set includes a fixed portion and a link-up portion. The fixed portion is connected to the fixing structure. The driving set is connected to the link-up portion. The connecting set is selectively coupled to the driving set. When the connecting set is coupled to the driving set, rotation of the wheel causes the driving set to drive the restoring set such that the restoring set is allowed to accumulate energy.
Core exercise machine
An exercise machine for working core muscles includes a base, a handle bar connected to the base, and a leg support assembly connected to the base and extending substantially horizontally in a direction away from the handle bar. When one of the handle bar and leg support assembly is swung in a clockwise direction, the other of the handle bar and leg support assembly is swung in a counterclockwise direction, and when the one of handle bar and leg support assembly is swung in a counterclockwise direction, the other of the handle bar and leg support assembly is swung in a clockwise direction. The opposite direction rotations of the handle bar and leg support assembly create a double twist motion in the core muscles of a user of the machine.
Device for Strengthening Inner Abdominal Muscles
An exercise apparatus for effecting transverse abdominis and inner abdominal muscle exercise, includes a back support and an arm exercising assembly. The arm exercising assembly comprising a gripping bar having gripping portions for gripping by the user's hands, and which is coupled to a resistance assembly. The gripping bar is reciprocally movable against the biasing force from a first raised position, where said gripping bar is forward and outwardly above said user's shoulders, and a second lowered position spaced forwardly outwardly above the user's torso. The resilient biasing force is selected on multidirectional force having an upward biasing component, a downward biasing component independent thereof, and a resilient rearward biasing component all acting in concert.
Lower Body Exercise Apparatus
An exercise apparatus (20; 200) for use by a user (600) and comprising: a frame (22; 202); a resistance unit (24; 204); a first member (26A) positioned to engage a left lower leg of the user; a second member (26B) positioned to engage a right lower leg of the user; wherein: the first member is mounted to the frame for rotation about a first axis (510A) between a first condition and a second condition; the second member is mounted to the frame for rotation about a second axis (510B) between a first condition and a second condition; the first member and the second member are coupled to the resistance unit so that the rotations of the first member and the second member to their second conditions from their first conditions is against resistance from the resistance unit; and the first member and the second member are mounted for the respective rotations so that the rotations of the first member and the second member to their second conditions from their first conditions draws the user's ankles together proportionately more than the user's knees are drawn together, if at all.
Exercise Machine Safety System
A safety system for an exercise machine having a plurality of moving internal components. The safety system generally includes a plurality of safety covers that are removably attachable to the machine at various locations to close off openings between the structural members of the machine, enclose the internal spaces of the machine containing internal moving components, and thus prevent an exerciser from coming in contact with the internal components through the openings. The safety covers include one or more side safety covers removably attachable to fixed structural elements and/or a movable platform of the machine along the lateral sides of the machine, one or more top safety covers attached to the machine below and between stationary platforms located at or near opposite longitudinal ends of the machine, and one or more end safety covers removably attachable near the opposite longitudinal ends of the machine.
Large muscle exercise machine
A large muscle exercise machine utilizes resistance to increase the effectiveness for a plurality of exercises performed by the user. The large muscle exercise machine includes a base frame, a support platform, a telescoping handlebar support, a handlebar, a first handle, a second handle, a first compression-adjustment mechanism, and a second compression-adjustment mechanism. The support platform is slideably engaged along the base frame to allow the user to position the support platform along the base frame. The telescoping handlebar support supports the handlebar. The first handle is rotatably mounted to the handlebar through the first compression-adjustment mechanism. Similarly, the second handle is rotatably mounted to the handlebar through the second compression-adjustment mechanism. The first compression-adjustment mechanism allows the user to adjust the resistance to rotation for the first handle. The second compression-adjustment mechanism allows the user to adjust the resistance to rotation for the second handle for the desired exercise.
Doughnut shaped multifunction cushioning device
A doughnut shaped multifunction cushioning device, made of foam or similar flexible resilient material, and having a doughnut hole contoured recess. During exercise, manual labor, or other human endeavor, one human body joint such as a knee or other bodily bony protuberance is placed inside the contoured recess and against the floor or other support surface. By such means the cushioning device provides one or more of the following beneficial effects: reduced risk of injury, increased comfort, body alignment, and slight traction.
MULTI-PURPOSE EXERCISE DEVICE
A multipurpose exercise device is provided. The device includes features which allow the device to exhibit self-stabilizing features. The device includes a weighted body characterized by at least three substantially-loop-shaped handles which have dimensions and arrangements that are effective to cooperatively urge the device into one of several predetermined self-stabilizing rest positions. The rest positions are characterized by engagement portions of two of the provided handles resting against a support surface, while an elongated device bore extending along a center axis of the device is maintained in a substantially-horizontal orientation. The device may be stored safely in a variety of arrangements, including on a rack typically used for dumbbell storage.
