Exercise apparatus for an assisted squat exercise
11117017 · 2021-09-14 · ·

An apparatus for a squat exercise comprises a user buttocks pad supported by a pivotally mounted arm for rotation in a vertical plane to allow the user to perform the exercise while in contact with the buttocks pad. The arm length and initial angular position with respect to the horizontal being adjustable. Hand grips are provided for engagement by the user during the exercise. A weight stack is operatively connected to the arm for providing a resistive force as the user squats and an assisting force as the user rises hack to the starting position. A footrest is positioned to maintain the feet of the user to allow the weight of the user to be directed through the heels during the exercise. A base supports a pivot for the arm, as well as the weight stack and footrest.

The present invention aims to provide a blood flow analysis device capable of accurately identifying a change in the blood flow in a muscle caused by resistance exercise performed by a subject. A blood flow analysis device according to the present invention specifies a resistance exercise period during which a muscle of a subject present at a position to be measured by a motion sensor is performing a resistance exercise, and analyzes a light detection signal in the resistance exercise period, to thereby calculate a feature amount of a change in the blood flow in the muscle of the subject in the resistance exercise period (see FIG. 1).

Parallel cable exercise device

A cable-based exercise system. A chassis is provided to house the actuators. A force plate sits on top of this chassis. A bar configured for gripping by a user is provided. The bar has a first end and a second end. Two or more cables are connected to each end of the bar. Each cable connects an end of the bar to a drive motor. Each drive motor can be independently controlled. A central processor is preferably provided to receive sensory inputs and control the drive motors.

Exercise tubing for high intensity interval training and methods of use

An exercise apparatus for high intensity interval training includes a pair of elastomer tubing devices being stretchable beyond a resting length and further having a first end forming a hand grip for a user, and an opposing end including an anchor portion to enable releasable attachment to a fixed mount. The elastomer tubing devices are independently affixable to one or more fixed mounts at a first distance between the respective anchor portions along a transverse plane and a second distance above ground level to permit independent or tandem oscillation by the user, wherein the elastomer tubing devices are stretched a predetermined distance beyond the resting length and maintained approximately at the predetermined distance during the oscillation. Mechanical impedance of the elastomer tubing devices is adjustable by the user working against inertia generated during the oscillation.

A squat machine is disclosed. The disclosed squat machine includes: a base frame; an exercise member which is rotatable about a first axis with respect to the base frame and capable of supporting at least one weight member; a support member which is rotatable about a second axis, which is different from the first axis, with respect to the base frame, is located on a rotation path of the exercise member, and rotates between a first position at which the exercise member is supportable and a second position out of the rotation path of the exercise member; a handle member which is formed on the exercise member to rotate about a third axis, which is different from the first axis and the second axis, so that the support member is rotated to the first position; a connection wire connecting the support member to the handle member; and a pulley guiding movement of the connection wire.

TRAINING INSTRUMENT AND INPUT DEVICE

A non-limiting example training instrument comprises a hollow main body formed of an aluminum alloy. The main body is constituted by two gripping portions opposite to each other with a space therebetween and a coupling portion coupling the two gripping portions. A load sensor is arranged in the coupling portion inside the main body. The load sensor is a load cell, a strain gauge affixed to an interior of the main body, and a part of the main body to which the strain gauge is affixed functions as a strain body. Therefore, if a user applies a force so as to bring the two gripping portions close to each other or a force so as to move the two gripping portions away from each other, a load thereof is detected by the load sensor.

The system of the present invention includes elastic bands that are affixed and inserted within elastic band insertion slots that are disposed on a u-shaped frame and a rectangular-shaped frame. The squatting motion the user performs on the present invention activates the expansion and retraction of the elastic bands, which exerts resisting force upon the user, simulating weights.
