EXERCISE EQUIPMENT WITH INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM
20240100384 · 2024-03-28 ·

An exercise system includes an integrated controller to automatically vary a resistive force output by the equipment during exercise in response to a user's characteristics. The user's characteristics are input to the controller, and the controller outputs signals to the exercise equipment corresponding to a workout regime. The exercise equipment includes a support system with an actuator assembly coupled to the support system and in communication with the controller. A resistance assembly is coupled to the support system and configured to translate along guides of the support system. The controller sends signals to the actuator assembly to vary a resistive force applied to the resistance assembly in response to the predetermined workout regime based on the user's characteristics.

Parallel Cable Exercise Device

A cable-based exercise system. A chassis is provided to house the actuators. A force plate sits on top of this chassis. A bur configured for gripping by a user is provided. The bar has a first end and a second end. Two or more cables are connected to each end of the bar. Each cable connects an end of the bar to a drive motor. Each drive motor can be independently controlled. A central processor is preferably provided to receive sensory inputs and control the drive motors.

Training instrument and input device

A non-limiting example training instrument comprises a hollow main body formed of an aluminum alloy. The main body is constituted by two gripping portions opposite to each other with a space therebetween and a coupling portion coupling the two gripping portions. A load sensor is arranged in the coupling portion inside the main body. The load sensor is a load cell, a strain gauge affixed to an interior of the main body, and a part of the main body to which the strain gauge is affixed functions as a strain body. Therefore, if a user applies a force so as to bring the two gripping portions close to each other or a force so as to move the two gripping portions away from each other, a load thereof is detected by the load sensor.

EXERCISE APPARATUS
20190314677 · 2019-10-17 ·

An exercise apparatus for a squat exercise by a user comprises a user buttocks pad supported by an arm pivotally mounted for rotation in a vertical plane about an upright to allow the user to perform the exercise while in contact with the buttocks pad, a length of the arm and its initial angular position with respect to the horizontal being adjustable. A pair of hand grips are provided for engagement by the user during the exercise. A weight stack is operatively connected to the arm for providing a resistive force to the rotation of the arm in a first direction and an assisting force to the rotation of the arm in a second direction, while a footrest is provided for maintaining the feet of a user to allow the weight of the user to be directed through the heels with the user resting against the buttocks pad during the exercise. A base supports the arm upright, weight stack and footrest.

Multi-joint exercise machine

The present invention relates to a machine providing a compound leg exercise known as a squat. The purpose of the invention is to provide rotational resistance to the muscles and joints in a compound exercise. The apparatus uses a cable connecting weights to a cam; the cam converts linear resistance to rotational resistance transferred to a driven gear, and then to a second axis and reversed by use of a drive gear meshed to the driven gear. Both gears are aligned to the joints involved in the exercise. Connected to the drive gear is a lever and footplate the user pushes against. The resulting resistance is perpendicular to the direction of force applied by the muscles and joints, while the feet move in a straight line. The present invention can be applied to compound exercises for the upper or lower body in a variety of different embodiments.

EXERCISE BIOFEEDBACK USING SENSOR-EQUIPPED ATHLETIC GARMENTS

An exercise feedback system monitors the performance of athletes wearing a garment with sensors while exercising. The sensors generate physiological data such as muscle activation data, heart rate data, or data describing the athlete's movement. The system extracts features from the physiological data and compares the features with reference exercise data to determine metrics of performance and biofeedback. Based on the physiological data, the system may also modify exercise training programs for the athlete. The exercise feedback system can display the biofeedback using visuals or audio, as well as modified exercise training programs, via the athlete's client device in real time while the athlete is exercising. By reviewing the biofeedback, the athlete may correct the athlete's exercise form to properly use the target muscles for the exercise, or change the certain workouts to personalize the training program.
