DRAIN VALVE OF OIL CUP OF OIL FILTER
A drain valve of an oil cup of an oil filter contains: a body and a fitting sleeve. The body includes a head portion, a post, a connection portion, an upper threaded portion, a lower threaded portion, and a foot portion. An air channel and a fluid channel are defined between the head portion and the connection portion, and the connection portion has multiple cutouts and a guide opening. The foot portion has a through orifice communicating with the guide opening. The fitting sleeve includes a peripheral fence, an internal screwing portion, and multiple positioning portions. A distance is defined between the connection portion and the fitting sleeve by ways of the positioning portion so that air and stems discharge out of the foot portion from the oil filter along the guide opening.
Cooling apparatus configurations for marine engines having a supercharger
A marine engine comprises a powerhead having an engine block, a cylinder head and a crankcase containing a crankshaft. Operation of the marine engine causes rotation of the crankshaft. A crankcase cover encloses the crankshaft in the crankcase. A supercharger is on the crankcase cover, the supercharger being configured to provide charge air for combustion in the powerhead. A cooling passage conveys cooling fluid between the crankcase cover and the supercharger so that the cooling fluid cools both in the crankcase and in the supercharger.
Cooling system valve
The present invention relates to a cooling system valve (24) for an internal combustion engine cooling system (12), the internal combustion engine cooling system (12) comprising a radiator (14) and a coolant passage (16) adapted to cool at least a portion of an internal combustion engine (18), the cooling system valve (24) being adapted to be located between the radiator (14) and the coolant passage (16), as seen in an intended direction of flow from the radiator (14) to the coolant passage (16). The cooling system valve (24) is adapted to automatically assume each one of at least the following conditions: an open condition, allowing coolant transport from the radiator (14) towards the coolant passage (16) via the cooling system valve (24), and a closed condition, preventing coolant transport in a direction from the coolant passage (16) towards the radiator (14) via the cooling system valve (24).
CYLINDER HEAD WITH INTEGRATED TURBOCHARGER
A cylinder head assembly for an internal combustion engine includes a cast cylinder head, a turbocharger housing integrally cast with the cylinder head, and a water jacket cast into the integrally cast turbocharger housing and configured to receive a flow of coolant for cooling the integrally cast turbocharger housing. The assembly can also include a wastegate housing integrally cast with the cylinder head and the turbocharger housing, and a water jacket cast into the integrally cast wastegate housing. The water jacket is configured to receive a flow of coolant for cooling the integrally cast turbocharger housing and the integrally cast wastegate housing.
CYLINDER HEAD WITH INTEGRATED TURBOCHARGER
A cylinder head assembly for an internal combustion engine includes a cast cylinder head and a turbocharger housing integrally cast with the cylinder head and having an integrally cast wastegate housing. The turbocharger housing is configured to receive a turbocharger cartridge rotatably supporting a shaft coupled between a compressor wheel and a turbine wheel. The integrally cast wastegate housing defines a wastegate chamber configured to receive a wastegate valve, a flow of exhaust gas from the turbine wheel, and a flow of wastegate exhaust gas.
Coolant tank
A coolant tank includes: a tank main body configured to store a coolant discharged from a processing machine; a vortex flow generator that creates a vortex flow of the coolant in the tank main body; and a float configured to float on a liquid surface of the coolant stored in the tank main body. An outer peripheral portion of the float has a shape conforming to a shape of an inner peripheral wall surface of the tank main body and forming a gap between the outer peripheral portion and the inner peripheral wall surface.
METHOD FOR CHARGING COOLANT IN COOLING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A method for charging coolant in a cooling system for a vehicle may include determining a vehicle-diagnostic apparatus connection that determines whether a diagnostic apparatus configured for charging coolant has been connected to a vehicle; starting a coolant charging mode for charging the coolant by the diagnostic apparatus; and determining whether a coolant charging mode release condition has been satisfied after starting the coolant charging mode.
Cooling water drain system for a marine engine
A drain system for a marine engine cooling system, includes an engine having one of a closed coolant circuit or an open cooling circuit, a raw water passageway having a raw water intake for drawing raw water into the raw water passageway, including a hose arranged to have a vertically high point and a vertically low point, a drain valve connected to the raw water passageway at the in hose vertically low point, a vent line connected to the raw water passageway at the hose vertically high point and a control handle located remote from the hose vertically high point and the hose vertically low point, the control handle having a vent valve connected to the vent line, the control handle being connected to the drain valve by a cable, wherein movement of the control handle selectively simultaneously opens and closes the drain valve and the vent valve.
VEHICLE DRIVE-FORCE TRANSMITTING APPARATUS
A vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus including: a casing; a drive-force transmitting mechanism disposed in the casing; and first and second oil pumps configured to suck, through respective inlet ports thereof, oil stored in a bottom portion of a casing, such that the drive-force transmitting mechanism is lubricated by the oil pumped up by the first and second oil pumps. The casing is provided with a drain hole through which the oil stored in the bottom portion of the casing is to be discharged to an exterior of the casing. A position of opening of the inlet port of the first oil pump is lower than a position of a lower end of the drain hole, and a position of opening of the inlet port of the second oil pump is higher than the position of the lower end of the drain hole.
