Aspects of the present invention relate to an apparatus comprising at least two chambers, each chamber comprising at least one wall defining the chamber, a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet through the wall of the chamber and an opening separate from the fluid inlet and fluid outlet. The fluid inlet and fluid outlet are configured such that a fluid enters the chamber via the fluid inlet and exits via the fluid outlet. A gas enters the chamber via the fluid inlet and exits the chamber via the opening, wherein the opening of each of the chambers is fluidly connected to a common fluid reservoir. The apparatus may be used for degassing multiple coolant circuits in a vehicle.

An expansion tank, includes: a tank main body defining a storage chamber storing a coolant liquid therein; multiple partition walls provided in the tank main body to divide the storage chamber into multiple division chambers including an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, the partition walls being formed with communication holes for bringing adjacent ones of the division chambers into communication with each other; a coolant liquid inlet portion that is provided on the tank main body and is open to the inlet chamber; a coolant liquid outlet portion that has an outlet opening in a depression formed in a bottom of the tank main body and is open to the outlet chamber; and a barrier wall extending from a side wall of the tank main body or one of the partition walls into the depression.

A vehicle cooling system includes a first cooling circuit having a first operating temperature range when the vehicle is in an operational state, a second cooling circuit having a second operating temperature range, and a degas bottle. The degas bottle has a first chamber operably coupled to the first cooling circuit and a second chamber operably coupled to the second cooling circuit. The degas bottle includes a first chamber operably coupled to the first cooling circuit, a second chamber operably coupled to the second cooling circuit, and a third chamber configured as a common filling chamber for the first and second chambers. The first chamber is operably coupled to the third chamber via a first filling gate, and the second chamber is operably coupled to the third chamber via a second filling gate. The first and second filling gates are configured for simultaneous opening during a fill operation in which cooling fluid is provided into the third chamber to fill the first and second chambers.

The system can further include a third coolant loop configured with a third series of coolant hoses to communicate third volume of coolant fluid between the three-way heat exchanger and an engine heat exchanger of the vehicle.
