Airflow Control System For An Agricultural Machine
Agricultural machines such as sprayers can be improved by providing a control system configured to adjust an engine cooling package fan with variable speeds, to thereby minimize parasitic losses, based on progress of the HVAC system for attaining a desired temperature in the operator cab. In one aspect, as a gap between actual and desired temperatures (temperature differential) in the cab minimizes, the cooling package fan can be variably adjusted to increase or decrease in speed, depending on heating or cooling occurring in the cab, respectively. However, if a temperature of an area in the engine compartment reaches a predetermined threshold, such variable speed control can cease, and the cooling package fan can instead be controlled to cool the area.
HYBRID VEHICLE
An engine (2) of a hybrid vehicle (1) is configured to operate along a prescribed operation line in an operation property diagram of the engine. In addition to a first operation line (A) that optimizes fuel economy, a second operation line (B) that minimizes undesired emission of particulate matter is defined. The two operation lines substantially coincide with each other in a certain region of the diagram. A control unit (7) of the vehicle switches the operating condition between the first operation line and the second operation line when the first operation line and the second operation line substantially coincide with each other.
Shutter grille device
To provide a shutter grille device that can reduce the number of opening and closing operations and extend product life. A shutter grille device includes: a shutter grille provided in an air intake for guiding air into a power station in which a power source of a vehicle is provided; and a controller that controls opening and closing of the shutter grille. The controller disables closing of the shutter grille during a first interval after opening of the shutter grille, and has a second interval before enabling opening of the shutter grille after closing; and the first interval is set longer than the second interval.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FAN-BASED DEICING OF AIR DOOR ASSEMBLIES
A motor vehicle component assembly including an air door assembly having an air door frame, on which at least one air door is movably arranged for adjusting the area through which air can flow in an air flow opening; a heat source that can include a coolant heat exchanger and/or an internal combustion engine; a blower which in the rated operating mode generates an operating air flow from the air door assembly toward the heat source; a sensor device that detects at least one operating variable and/or one state variable of the motor vehicle component assembly, and/or one state variable of the area surrounding the motor vehicle component assembly, and on the basis of this detection, outputs at least one detection variable; and a control device, which is configured to control the operation of the blower, the control device being configured to operate the blower, based on the at least one detected variable, in a deicing mode that is different from the rated operating mode, in which the blower generates a deicing air flow from the heat source toward the air door assembly.
Method and device for operating an engine compartment fan for a motor vehicle
A method for operating an engine compartment fan for an engine compartment of a motor vehicle, in which at least one component, in particular for the drive of the motor vehicle, is situated, including the following: ascertaining a present engine compartment temperature as a function of a thermal energy input into the engine compartment and a thermal energy discharge out of the engine compartment; and activating the engine compartment fan as a function of the ascertained present engine compartment temperature.
