GOLF CLUB HEADS

Aspects of the invention are directed to golf club having a crown, a sole, a face, and a face alignment feature located on the face.

Golf swing wrist condition training device

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided various embodiments of a golf swing training device which is uniquely configured to maintain a desirable bent wrist condition through the entirety of the downswing (including golf ball impact) and follow-though or finish of the golf swing. More particularly, the training device constructed in accordance with the present invention allows the wearer/user to start the golf swing with the right wrist in its natural, generally flattened condition at address. Once the backswing of the golf stroke is initiated, the training device of the present invention allows the wearer/user to bend the right wrist back naturally, and at different amounts so as to represent the different amounts of right wrist bend a golfer may employ for shorter and longer strokes. Once the right wrist has achieved its full amount of bend at the time of the downswing, the training device constructed in accordance with the present invention effectively maintains such bend throughout the entirety of the downswing and follow-through or finish of the golf swing.

Golf club

A golf club 2 includes a head 4, a shaft 6 and a grip 8. The shaft 6 includes a plurality of layers, a tip end Tp and a butt end Bt. If a distance between a center of gravity of the shaft and the butt end Bt is defined as Lg (mm), a shaft full length is defined as Ls (mm), and a ratio of the distance Lg to the shaft full length Ls is defined as a ratio of the center of gravity of the shaft, the ratio of the center of gravity of the shaft is 44.5% or less. If a torsional rigidity at a point of 90 mm distant from the tip end Tp is defined as GJt (kgf.Math.m.sup.2), and a torsional rigidity at a point of 210 mm distant from the butt end Bt is defined as GJb (kgf.Math.m.sup.2), GJb/GJt is 5.5 or less.

System and method for a game racquet including a grommet actuator

The present invention provides a game racquet including an integrated circuit capable of supporting a low-voltage energy current. An embodiment of the invention provides a game racquet including one or more enhancements attached or integrated on the racquet frame. These enhancements may include but are not limited to: one or more LEDs, a sound amplification device, and an electromagnetic vibration emitter. In a further embodiment, the game racquet responds electronically to ball impact on at least one of the strings, and subsequently performs and action or actions including but not limited to making a sound or sounds, triggering lights, triggering LEDs, triggering another type of automation on the racquet such as a vibration emitter within the handle. The game racquet frame comprising at least one string channel in the frame head, bridge, or other area, which houses an actuator responds mechanically to a string movement triggering electronic connection.

Golf club head having multi-material face and method of manufacture

A golf club with a multi-material face is disclosed herein. More specifically, the golf club head in accordance with the present invention has a multi-material striking face portion that is made out of a backing layer having a frontal pocket, made out of titanium, and an insert, made out of a composite material, adapted to be inserted into the frontal pocket. The frontal pocket and the insert could have complementary dovetail shaped undercut features to create a mechanical bond between these two components.

GOLF CLUB SHAFT AND GOLF CLUB

Provided are the golf club shaft and the golf club for offering excellent feel of swing motions without demanding fine setting while keeping advantages of the short-sized golf club shaft. The golf club shaft includes a shaft body which extends in a longitudinal direction, and a gravity center shifting member attached to the shaft body for shifting a shaft gravity center toward a distal-end side in the longitudinal direction. In the case where the shaft body is cut to have a shaft full length of 43 inches or shorter, and positions of a distal-end portion and a proximal-end portion in the longitudinal direction are defined by percentage as 0% and 100%, respectively, a position of the shaft gravity center is set to be in a range from 39% to 45%.

Ball bat including multiple failure planes

A composite ball bat includes multiple failure planes within a barrel wall. By including multiple failure planes in a barrel wall, the bat exhibits a drop in performance when subjected to rolling or other extreme deflection, with no temporary increase in barrel performance. Because the barrel performance does not increase, the ball bat is able to comply with performance limitations imposed by regulatory associations.

Golf Club Head or Other Ball Striking Device with Face Having Modulus Variance
20220305353 · 2022-09-29 ·

A ball striking device, such as a golf club head, includes a face having a ball striking surface, an inner surface opposite the ball striking surface, and a thickness defined between the ball striking surface and the inner surface, and a body connected to the face and extending rearward from the face. The face has a modulus gradient across the thickness of the face, such that the modulus of the face varies at different distances from the ball striking surface. The face may also include at least one of an insert, a composite material, a multi-layered structure, and/or a portion treated by a surface treatment to contribute to the modulus gradient.

GOLF CLUB HEADS WITH APERTURES AND METHODS TO MANUFACTURE GOLF CLUB HEADS

Embodiments of golf club heads with apertures and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Golf clubs and golf club heads

A golf club head enables the initial velocity of a ball to be increased and enables the carry to be lengthened. In some example structures, the golf club includes a face plate formed from metal and club head body (e.g., a crown and sole) formed from fiber reinforced plastic. A weighted body is provided inside the rearmost portion of the golf club head and a low rigidity portion whose width becomes gradually narrower as it approaches the rearmost portion is provided in the crown extending from the vicinity of the face plate to the rearmost portion.
