RACKET
A tennis racket includes throats. Each throat includes a fiber reinforced layer and a vibration damper. The vibration damper is surrounded by the fiber reinforced layer. The fiber reinforced layer includes a plurality of reinforcement fibers and a matrix. The reinforcement fibers are typically carbon fibers. The material of the matrix is a resin composition whose base material is an epoxy resin. The vibration damper is formed of a polymer composition. The polymer composition contains a base polymer. The base polymer is preferably a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer or an acrylic elastomer.
Safety archery glove
A safety archery glove is disclosed having a first flexible material disposed about a portion of the palm and a portion of the back of the glove, wherein the first flexible material has first coefficient of friction. A second semi-rigid material is disposed about a back side of the glove over the metacarpal region covering at least the first and second metacarpal area of the glove, wherein the second semi-rigid material has a second coefficient of friction. A third flexible material is disposed about the palm and underside of finger sections of the glove, said third flexible material having a third coefficient of friction, wherein the third coefficient of friction is less than the coefficient of friction of the first and second materials. The second semi-rigid material forms a back having at least four lateral sides disposed about a back side of the glove and is coupled to the first flexible material about three sides of the back cover.
Ball bat having asymmetrical barrel composition or construction
Embodiments are directed toward a bat, such as a softball or baseball bat, that includes a handle and a barrel. The barrel is preferably coupled to the handle. The barrel preferably defines a longitudinal axis. The barrel preferably has asymmetrical composition or construction about the longitudinal axis of the barrel.
GOLF CLUB HEAD
Disclosed herein is a driver-type golf club head that has a strike face. The strike face has a central region, defined by a 40 mm by 20 mm rectangular area centered on a geometric center of the strike face and elongated in a heel-to-toe direction. The driver-type golf club head is configured such that after 500 impacts of a standard golf ball at the geometric center of the strike face, where at each impact the standard golf ball has a velocity of 52 meters per second, the CT of the strike face at any point within the central region is less than 256 microseconds and the CT at the geometric center of the strike face is no more than five microseconds different than the initial CT value.
GOLF CLUB HEAD
Disclosed herein is a driver-type golf club head that is made from at least one first material, having a density between 0.9 g/cc and 3.5 g/cc, at least one second material, having a density between 3.6 g/cc and 5.5 g/cc, and at least one third material, having a density between 5.6 g/cc and 20.0 g/cc. The first material has a first mass no more than 55% and no less than 25% of the total mass of the golf club head. The second material has a second mass no more than 65% and no less than 20% of the total mass of the golf club head. The third material has a third mass equal to the total mass of the golf club head less the first mass of the first material and the second mass of the second material.
Golf club head or other ball striking device with face having modulus variance
A ball striking device, such as a golf club head, includes a face having a ball striking surface, an inner surface opposite the ball striking surface, and a thickness defined between the ball striking surface and the inner surface, and a body connected to the face and extending rearward from the face. The face has a modulus gradient across the thickness of the face, such that the modulus of the face varies at different distances from the ball striking surface. The face may also include at least one of an insert, a composite material, a multi-layered structure, and/or a portion treated by a surface treatment to contribute to the modulus gradient.
Golf shaft system and golf shaft
A golf club shaft system and golf club shaft possessing unique flexural and torsional rigidity profiles, while providing significant adjustability to fine tune the shaft to a particular golf swing.
GOLF CLUB SHAFT AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SHAFT
A method of making a golf shaft, and a shaft made thereby, for connection to a golf club head including a first upper section having a first diameter and an upper butt end; a second lower section having a second lesser diameter than said first diameter and a having a lower tip end for connection to the golf club head; and, a gradually tapering intermediate section connected between the first upper section and the second section that reduces the outside diameter of the shaft from the diameter at the upper section to the diameter of the lower section. The location of the intermediate section relative to the upper butt end of the shaft is determined by a weight value of the shaft such that as the weight of the shaft becomes lighter, the tapered intermediate section is located closer to the upper butt end of the shaft and the tapered intermediate section is located further from the upper butt end of the shaft as the shaft becomes heavier.
MIXED MATERIAL GOLF CLUB HEAD
A golf club head includes a rear body having a crown member coupled to a sole member, and a front body coupled to the rear body to define a substantially hollow structure. The front body includes a strike face and a surrounding frame that extends rearward from a perimeter of the strike face. At least a portion of an outer wall of the club head comprises a thermoplastic composite having a plurality of lamina layers. The plurality of lamina layers include at least a fabric reinforced thermoplastic composite layer and a filled thermoplastic layer, and the fabric reinforced thermoplastic composite layer and the filled thermoplastic layer are directly bonded to each other without an intermediate adhesive.
YOGA MAT
A yoga mat is provided, including: a cushion body, including at least one first thread and at least one second thread, at least one functioned thread of the at least one first thread being woven by a plurality of filaments and at least one rubber filament, the at least one rubber filament being at least partially exposed on an outer surface of the at least one functioned thread.
