APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ENGINE CLEANING
An apparatus configured to perform a static and a dynamic cleaning of an engine at the same time or separately, as well as to back-flush the oil pump screen of the engine, air purging the engine and prime the engine with oil before filling the engine with the required oil amount. The apparatus has a holding tank for storing a cleaning solution, a pump, an oil drain adapter configured to connect the apparatus to the oil drain of the engine, a transfer tank and an oil filter adapter connected to a first and a second conduit. The pump is selectively in fluid communication with the holding tank, to pump the cleaning solution from the holding tank into the engine, and with the oil drain to draw the cleaning solution out of the engine.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CLEANING INDUSTRIAL PARTS
A cleaning apparatus includes a wash chamber, a platform and a lid. The platform is disposed in the chamber and sized to support an engine block. The lid has a first portion rotatably coupled to the wash chamber and a second portion rotatably coupled to the first portion. When the first portion of the lid is disposed in a position rotated distal to the wash chamber, the second portion of the lid is disposed in a position rotated proximal to the first portion of the lid. When the first portion of the lid is disposed in a position rotated proximal to the wash chamber, the second portion of the lid is disposed in a position rotated distal to the first portion of the lid.
Radial passage engine wash manifold
An engine wash manifold assembly for delivering wash liquid to an engine with a radial air passage includes a feeder body, an inlet on the feeder body to receive wash fluid, a first nozzle in fluid communication with the feeder body and configured to direct wash fluid into the radial passage, and a securing device configured to support the feeder body relative to a mounting location.
REMOVING MATERIAL BUILDUP FROM AN INTERNAL SURFACE WITHIN A GAS TURBINE ENGINE SYSTEM
A method is provided involving a gas turbine engine system. The method includes configuring a plug within a fluid passage in the gas turbine engine system, where the plug is between first and second portions of the fluid passage. Material is removed from an interior surface of the fluid passage in the first portion of the fluid passage to provide removed material, where the plug substantially prevents the removed material from entering the second portion of the fluid passage. The removed material is directed out of the fluid passage. The plug is removed from the fluid passage.
AUTOMATED FLUSHING SYSTEM
An example of a flushing system includes an inlet port, a flow manifold, and a plurality of outlet ports. An inlet channel is formed by a main body of the flow manifold and is connected to the inlet port. A plurality of outlet channels connect to the inlet channel and to a plurality of outlet valves that are also connected to the outlet ports. A controller is configured to control actuators attached to the outlet valves to actuate each of the outlet valves to permit water to flow from the inlet port to each of the outlet ports.
ENGINE CLEANSING DEVICE AND ENGINE CLEANSING METHOD
The present invention relates to a vehicle engine-washing apparatus and a washing method using the washing apparatus, and more particularly, to a vehicle engine-washing engine for washing the inside of vehicle engine, which apparatus includes a hollow operation tube; a guide part having a body inserted into a tip portion of the operation tube and formed with a through-hole, and a leading-in tube formed on the body in such a manner as to communicate with the through-hole; a holder fitted on and fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the operation tube and having a tapered part and an engagement panel formed at an end of the tapered part; an end cap fitted to a terminal end portion of the operation tube and formed with an operation hole; an operation rod inserted through the operation hole of the end cap and having a coupling protrusion formed at one end of the operation rod and a coupling groove formed at the other end; a hollow connection socket disposed in the operation tube, the other end portion of the socket being fitted on the coupling protrusion introduced into the operation tube; and a washing rod having an inserted protrusion formed at one side thereof which is inserted into one end portion of the connection socket, and a brush part provided at the other side, whereby effects are obtained that washing of the inside of the engine is allowed without having to separate the engine, thereby significantly reducing cost and time for maintenance, and anyone can conveniently perform the washing.
Fuel System Flush Circuitry and Method for Operating the Same
A fluid injection system includes a fluid injector assembly, a fluid conditioning module having an outlet port that is fluidly coupled to an inlet port of the fluid injector assembly via an injector assembly inlet conduit. The fluid injection system further includes a flush conduit fluidly coupled to the outlet port of the fluid conditioning module, a flush valve disposed in the flush conduit and configured to control a flowrate of fluid therethrough, and a controller operatively coupled to the fluid conditioning module and the flush valve, the controller being configured to adjust a flowrate of a fluid through the injector assembly inlet conduit by controlling a flowrate of fluid through the flush conduit.
Detection of coking in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine
A method for detecting coking in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine having direct fuel injection is provided. The internal combustion engine has variable intake valve control. The variable intake valve control makes it possible to change the open time of the intake valves in relation to the crank angle of the crankshaft. In the method, the internal combustion engine is operated in idling mode at an idling rotational speed that is elevated in comparison with the normal idling operation. In order to perform the measurement, the open time of the intake valves is also shifted in an advanced direction. An uneven-running characteristic value of the internal combustion engine that is characteristic of the uneven running of the internal combustion engine is determined, and the presence of coking in the intake tract can be detected on the basis of the uneven-running characteristic value.
Dispenser, Method and Cleaning System for Engine Valves
A dispenser, method and system using a pressurized canister of cleaner for removing deposits from GDI engine valves including components such as an external housing having an actuator including a valve for engaging a valve stem of the canister, a button trigger for activation of the valve and valve stem by a user, and a trigger return spring, to bias the button trigger out of engagement with the valve, an outlet for attachment to a flexible delivery conduit having a support wire guide, where the delivery conduit is wrapped around the external housing during storage, and during operation by a single individual user extends for a length from the vehicle driver seat through an open window or door, under the open hood for engagement with the vehicle engine intake manifold supported on a delivery conduit support clip, to enable one handed operation of the system by a single user.
