System and method for integrating physical, moving targets into a game, sport or other activity
The invention generally relates to a system and method for integrating physical, moving targets into a game, sport or other activity, including the specific method of how to track the moving target and the interaction of one or more users as the target moves. The system and method for integrating physical, moving targets into a game, sport or other activity enables a plurality of users to simultaneously attempt to hit a moving target in the field of play with a moving object while tracking the moving target and moving object using a combination of sensors located on or around the field of play and on or around the moving target and/or moving object.
Method and apparatus for recommending a route
A method and apparatus for recommending a route. The route recommending method includes obtaining user's current body information; obtaining geographic information from a current position to a destination; and determining a recommended route to the destination on the basis of the body information and the geographic information.
Electricity generating system
An electricity generating system using fitness equipment, wherein the fitness equipment can be used to produce electricity with a generator. The electricity produced can be transferred from the generator to a splitter. A controller can be used to receive identifications and decisions on transfer of the produced electricity from a fitness center. The controller can be used to track in real time electricity produced as watts or as amperage associated with a user identification, a fitness class identification, or an administrator identification input less than 10 minutes before the electricity is produced or at a preset time, which can then transfer in real time energy credits equivalent to electricity produced or transfer produced electricity to a destination designed in the a user decision, a fitness class decision, or an administrator decision.
Monitoring and Tracking Athletic Activity
Tracking and monitoring athletic activity offers individuals with additional motivation to continue such behavior. An individual may track his or her athletic activity by completing goals. These goals may be represented by real-world objects such as food items, landmarks, buildings, statues, other physical structures, toys and the like. Each object may correspond to an athletic activity goal and require an amount of athletic activity to complete the goal. For example, a donut goal object may correspond to an athletic activity goal of burning 350 calories. The user may progress from goal object to goal object. Goal objects may increase in difficulty (e.g., amount of athletic activity required) and might only be available for selection upon completing an immediately previous goal object, a number of goal objects, an amount of athletic activity and the like.
Systems and Methods for Locating Arrows
In one aspect, an example system includes an arrow nock configured to couple to an arrow, a transmitter coupled to the arrow nock, and a controller. The controller is configured to (i) determine that the arrow has been shot from a bow and (ii) responsive to determining that the arrow has been shot from the bow, cause the transmitter to transmit a beacon signal at a variable rate that varies based on an amount of time elapsed since determining that the arrow has been shot from the bow.
THROWING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A throwing apparatus includes a head portion configured to engage a ball, a handle portion configured for holding the throwing apparatus, and a communication portion configured to transmit a signal. A throwing system includes a throwing apparatus including a thrower portion configure to engage a ball, a communication portion enabling a user to assist in locating a ball, and a ball. A throwing method includes holding a throwing apparatus including a thrower portion configured to engage a ball and a communication portion, engaging a ball, swinging the throwing apparatus to throw the ball, choosing between the following: swinging a throwing apparatus to throw the ball to another person or swinging a throwing apparatus to throw the ball to a pet, and engaging the ball.
WEIGHTED HANDHELD ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present invention is directed to a weighted hand held electronic device that is ergonomically shaped to fit one's hand. The device has the ability to control another device such as a television using built in remote control capabilities and the ability to control an auxiliary device such as a phone, music player, or other device that can be attached to this handheld device. The handheld device makes walking, running, or other forms of exercising easier and more productive while watching television because of the device's weight, convenience and functionality.
TRACK-RUNNER PACING SYSTEM WITH MOVING LIGHT
A system for pacing a runner around a running track at a predetermined pace with a moving visual light cue. The system has at least one light strip that is positioned in sight of at least one running lane of a running track, and the light strip has a plurality of light elements that can be sequentially lighted to make it appear as if a single light source is moving along the track at predetermined pace. There is a controller for the light strip that tracks the position of a runner on the running track and selectively light one or more of the plurality of light elements of the light strip in a sequence to have the runner attempt to keep a specific pace. The controller can be dynamically updateable by the runner, and multiple systems can be used to track the runners.
PERFORMANCE MONITORING DEVICE, PERFORMANCE MONITORING SYSTEM, AND PERFORMANCE MONITORING METHOD
A performance monitoring device includes a storage section adapted to store information related to a location of a target on the move, a processing section adapted to update the information stored in the storage section, and a notification section adapted to make a notification of information related to a relative position between a user on the move and the target using the updated information related to the location of the target.
Adaptive Athletic Activity Prescription Systems
Systems and methods for prescribing athletic activity to be performed by a user, and for adapting the prescribed athletic activity based on completed (e.g. ongoing) athletic performances by the user. A coaching plan may be automatically created that prescribes personalized athletic activities as a user trains towards a goal date. The athletic information may be received from one or more sensor devices associated with a user, and the coaching plan may be continuously or intermittently updated based on the received sensor data.
