MOBILE DEVICE AS POWER METER
Aspects of the subject technology relate to communication device used as a power meter. The communication device includes circuitry to determine values of several forces and a processor. The processor determines a combined force by combining the determined values of the forces. The processor further determines a value of a power based on the s combined force, a speed and a loss factor. The communication device is used by a user to measure the power. The power is generated by the user when engaged in an activity, and the forces affect a movement of the user.
Swim AR goggles
Swimming goggles have a left-eye covering and a right-eye covering, each having a corresponding transparent window that defines a field of view and each further having a seal extending between the transparent window and the swimmer's face and formed to exclude water. A near-eye display is in signal communication with an image processor and forms a virtual image in the left- or right-eye field of view.
BALL POSITION IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM, BALL POSITION IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM
A shot identifying module 220 identifies a flight distance of the golf ball and an angle of a direction from the measurement terminal 10 toward the golf ball with respect to a direction toward which the user terminal 10 is directed at a time of the measurement. A terminal position and orientation identifying module 222 identifies a terminal position and a terminal orientation. A ball position identifying module 224 identifies a ball position based on the terminal position, the terminal orientation, the flight distance of the golf ball, and the angle.
Golf event management system with scoring and location tracking
A score tracking system may include a tracking module, companion device, and location system. The tracking module may be configured to be carried by a player competing in a golf tournament. The companion device may be configured to receive an input corresponding to a stroke event and that includes a time stamp corresponding to an occurrence of the stroke event. The location system may collect or receive location data, which comprises or is used by the location system to generate a plurality of sets of location coordinates. Each set of location coordinates may correspond to a location of the tracking module at a specified time. The location system may pair the time stamp with a set of the location coordinates corresponding to the location of the tracking module at the occurrence of the stroke event.
SMART DEVICE
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a body with a processor, a camera and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor.
SMART SHIN GUARD
Embodiments of the invention relate to an intelligent shin guard (10) comprising the electronic components of a microprocessor (11), data sensors (12, 13), a memory (14), at least one wireless communication interface (15) and a power supply (17) integrated into the body of the shin guard, the wireless communication interface enabling the sending of at least a portion of data captured by the sensors with respect to a sports session.
Motorized vehicle incorporating exercise apparatus
An automobile including an exercise apparatus for use by the driver while driving is described. The apparatus may integrate the user's exercise performance into control of the vehicle's speed, acceleration and braking.
Method and apparatus for predicting the likely success of golf swings
A method of predicting the likelihood of a post T-off golf swing or consecutive swings resulting in a ball being sunk in a hole; the method utilizing communication equipped cameras or communication equipped laser rangefinders at known locations to determine accurate ball lie information. Transmission of this location information in real time to a processing facility linked to a database of historical play information incorporating at least ball position information and golf course in order to calculate odds of success of the upcoming swing and/or subsequent swings.
ACCESSORY INTENDED FOR RECEIVING A GOLF BALL EQUIPPED WITH AT LEAST ONE SENSOR AND DEVICE FOR MANAGING A GOLF COURSE PROVIDED WITH AT LEAST ONE SUCH ACCESSORY
The invention relates to a golf bogey (5), characterized in that it comprises at least one humidity sensor. The invention also relates to a device for managing a golf course comprising at least one bogey according to the invention.
GOLF BALLS WITH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION COMPONENTS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEM
A method for manufacturing a golf ball. The method includes creating a core with a cavity therein and positioning electronics in the cavity. The method further includes filing the cavity with a fill material while the electronics are positioned in the cavity such that the core, the electronics, and the fill material together form a spherical body, and such that when the fill material is cured the spherical body is balanced about a center thereof. The method further includes curing the fill material and covering the spherical body with an exterior cover.
