Included are systems and methods for providing data. At least one embodiment of a method includes constructing, by a computing device, a segment line on a computer display of an image of a golf course, the segment line being constructed from a tee box on a golf hole to a green on the golf hole, the segment line bisecting a fairway of the hole; determining at least one lay up position on the segment line, the at least one lay up position indicating a predetermined distance from the green; and providing the at least one lay up position to a user device, the user device configured to determine a distance between the user device and the lay up position.

GOLF COURSE ROUTE GUIDING SYSTEM
20200241558 · 2020-07-30 ·

A golf course route guiding system includes a controller disposed on a vehicle and having a memory module, a positioning module, and a processing module. The memory module stores a field information of a golf course and a plurality of movement zones set corresponding to the field information. Each movement zone has a route range. The positioning module provides a location signal indicating a current location of the vehicle. The processing module receives the location signal and determines the movement zone in which the vehicle is located, and assigns a route range set in the corresponding movement zone, which is sent to the processing module, so that the processing module limits the vehicle to move in the assigned route range. When the vehicle enters another movement zone, the processing module reassigns a route range, achieving a dynamic route adjustment function.

GOLF AID INCLUDING HEADS UP DISPLAY FOR GREEN READING
20200230480 · 2020-07-23 · ·

An electronic golf aid system for assisting users with reading greens on golf courses includes a camera that captures images of the user's field of view, and an electronic display device with a display screen that displays captured images. A processor, which communicates with the camera and display device, is programmed to: receive signals from the camera indicative of images of a golf ball and a cup on the green; determine respective locations for the golf ball and cup; determine a perspective view of the topology of the green between the golf ball and cup from the user's point of view; determine, based on the green's topology, a proposed trajectory line from the golf ball's location to the cup's location; and direct the electronic display device to display the proposed trajectory line superimposed on the surface of the green as the green is shown in real-time on the display screen.

Basketball shot practice station with court projection mapping
10688362 · 2020-06-23 ·

A basketball shot practice station with movable positioning of the backboard and basket relative to a stationary shooting position of a user. A projection-mapped court image is projected on the floor of the station from the viewpoint of the user based on the basket position. Cameras image the shooter and the ball flight. A control system analyzes the shooter's technique and ball trajectory, categorizes the shot results, and automatically adjusts the basket position to produce a given success rate by the user. It stores a profile of each user, and updates the user's shooting statistics and skill level based on the shot results of each session. It initializes the profile with a default skill level based on initial input data. It may estimate a user's age, height, and strength based on their image and weight. It increases the shot distance and backboard angles with increasing skill level.

FITNESS ACTIVITY MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Apparatus, systems, and methods for monitoring the performance of an individual during a fitness activity are disclosed. A method of monitoring the performance of a participant engaged in a fitness activity includes receiving a GPS signal during the fitness activity at a portable fitness device used by the participant; determining participant performance data based on the received GPS signal; at a stationary position beacon, transmitting location data associated with the location of the stationary position beacon; at a mobile participant receiver supported by the participant, receiving the location data from the stationary position beacon; and modifying the participant performance data based on the data received from the stationary position beacon.

ELECTRONIC TRACKING SYSTEM WITH HEADS UP DISPLAY
20200164262 · 2020-05-28 · ·

An electronic tracking system for assisting a user in determining distances to landmarks and objects in a sporting environment includes a user tracking system for determining the location of a user, a heads up display for displaying information to the user, and a processor operable to communicate with the user tracking system and the heads up display. The heads up display is designed to be worn on the user's head, and to display an image within the user's field of view. The processor is programmed to determine a distance between the user's determined location and an object or a landmark on. This information is displayed via the heads up display as a numeric representation of the determined distance.
