Haptic simulation device that allows a user, by means of natural body movements, to move through a virtual environment displayed by a VR control system (1) and display means (2), using a treadmill with a unidirectional (5) movable miming deck (6). The detection means comprise a control member (7) with a shape such, that the control member extends in front of and/or at least partly to the side of the user, during use of the device when the user is on the treadmill. The control member is coupled to a rotational pressure sensor (8) and one or more transverse pressure sensors (10). The rotational and transverse pressure sensors are coupled to the VR control system and the treadmill control system such that (a) if the user exerts forward or rearward pressure to the control member, the running deck moves rearward and forward, respectively, and (b) if the user additionally exerts a rotational pressure and/or a transverse pressure on the control member, the VR control system moves the virtual environment displayed in the VR display

EXERCISE DEVICE INCORPORATING GYROSCOPIC INITIATED DYNAMIC RESISTANCE
Multiple embodiments of a portable, handheld exercise device comprise a spherical outer shell with multiple parallel handles on the outer surface thereof containing a rotating mass therein. An inner shell is spaced from but attached the outer shell. A gyroscopic energy-generating structure (GEGS) is within the inner shell. The GEGS comprises a rotating disc or a rotating mass simulating a rotating disc. The rotating disc or a mass is powered to spin around an axis orientated in a preselected orientation to the multiple parallel handles. When the one or more handles are held by an individual the spinning characteristics of the rotating disc or mass creates a force against the user's hands. An internal or external controller allows the user to vary the spinning characteristics of the spinning mass and the level and intensity of the resultant exercise provided to the user in counteracting the forces created.

An example method of modeling a portion of a golf club and a golf swing includes scanning the golf club to obtain scanning information, training a convolutional neural network using the scanning information, using at least one camera to obtain a series of images, converting the series of images into parameterized motion representations, using at least one radar to obtain a radar signal, converting the radar signal into time-frequency images, inputting the parameterized motion representations and the time-frequency images into the convolutional neural network, receiving golf club parameters and golf swing parameters as an output of the convolutional neural network, and generating a visual model of the golf club and the golf swing in a virtual space using the golf club parameters and the golf swing parameters.

A system for analysis of user gait and foot disorder intended to minimize risks ulceration and limb amputation associated with the uncontrolled increase of the foot temperature in persons with diabetes. This system comprises a motion, force and temperature sensors and a processing element configured to process motion algorithms, measure ground reaction force (GRF) and changes in foot temperature embedded in the footwear insoles in communication with a smartphone based analysis application using wireless radio interface. The analysis application processes data received from the footwear sensors, compares the results with set of criteria and rules, and if any of the predefined criteria is exceeded, provides alerts to the user and the remote medical supervisor. Additionally, the insoles may be equipped with a haptic actuators configured to determine the level of the user neuropathy by measuring vibration perception threshold (VPT) level.
