SWING MOTION TRAINER
A swing motion trainer used to simulate one or more sport swing movements includes a rod portion comprising a shaft with a grip. The swing motion trainer includes a resistance portion comprising an interchangeable mechanism at a distal end of the rod portion, the resistance portion includes an interchangeable mechanism at the distal end of the rod portion, wherein the interchangeable mechanism is configured to attach a removable resistance element to the distal end of the rod portion. The removable resistance element that is attachable to the distal end of the rod portion via the interchangeable mechanism. The removable resistance element provides a resistance to a swinging motion of the swing motion trainer.
Mouth Guard Having Low-Profile Printed Circuit Board For Sensing And Notification Of Impact Forces
A mouth guard senses impact forces and determines if the forces exceed an impact threshold. If so, the mouth guard notifies the user of the risk for injury by haptic feedback, vibratory feedback, and/or audible feedback. The mouth guard system may also remotely communicate the status of risk and the potential injury. The mouth guard uses a local memory device to store impact thresholds based on personal biometric information obtained from the user and compares the sensed forces relative to those threshold values. The mouth guard and its electrical components on the printed circuit board are custom manufactured for the user such that the mouth guard provides a comfortable and reliable fit, while ensuring exceptional performance.
Adaptive athletic activity prescription systems
Systems and methods for prescribing athletic activity to be performed by a user, and for adapting the prescribed athletic activity based on completed (e.g. ongoing) athletic performances by the user. A coaching plan may be automatically created that prescribes personalized athletic activities as a user trains towards a goal date. The athletic information may be received from one or more sensor devices associated with a user, and the coaching plan may be continuously or intermittently updated based on the received sensor data.
FULL BODY FITNESS EQUIPMENT
A fitness device includes a main body, a left wing extending outwardly from the main body in a first direction, and a right wing extending outwardly from the main body in a second direction opposite the first direction. A cable extends from the main body to each of the left wing and the right wing. The fitness device further includes a gearbox, a spool assembly connected to an input end of the gearbox, a brake assembly connected to an output end of the gearbox, and a pulley assembly.
SENSOR DEVICE AND SPORTS IMPLEMENT
A sensor device includes an inertial sensor and a holding member. The holding member holds the inertial sensor and is capable of being attached to and detached from an end face of a grip being part of a sports implement and having the shape of a shaft. The holding member includes a sensor-side coupling part. The sensor-side coupling part is capable of being attached to and detached from a grip-side coupling part on the end face of the grip by being moved relative to the grip in a first direction that forms an angle with an axial direction of the grip.
Monitoring and tracking athletic activity
Tracking and monitoring athletic activity offers individuals with additional motivation to continue such behavior. An individual may track his or her athletic activity by completing goals. These goals may be represented by real-world objects such as food items, landmarks, buildings, statues, other physical structures, toys and the like. Each object may correspond to an athletic activity goal and require an amount of athletic activity to complete the goal. For example, a donut goal object may correspond to an athletic activity goal of burning 350 calories. The user may progress from goal object to goal object. Goal objects may increase in difficulty (e.g., amount of athletic activity required) and might only be available for selection upon completing an immediately previous goal object, a number of goal objects, an amount of athletic activity and the like.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRACKING PERFORMANCE OF A PLAYER
A method for tracking performance of player including determining global direction of magnetic field at first court and computing first court specific data; providing rotation for rotating apparatus about spin axis via player, wherein rotating apparatus comprising XYZ-magnetic field sensor; measuring plurality of magnetic field values as function of time when rotating apparatus is rotating about spin axis; computing magnetic field component of magnetic field in direction of local body co-ordinate of spin axis of rotating apparatus; determining direction of spin axis using computed magnetic field component of magnetic field and determined global direction of magnetic field; determining player specific data comprising angle of spin axis with respect to horizontal ground plane and angle of shot direction with respect to horizontal component of spin axis; and calibrating and storing first court specific data and player specific data to track performance of player at first court.
Systems and methods for tracking sports balls configured with electronic components
Systems and methods for tracking a sports ball assembly in real time during a sporting event are disclosed. A structure of the sports ball assembly is also disclosed. The sports ball assembly comprises at least one electronic circuit embedded or attached to a sports ball. The sports ball assembly is in network communication with a server processor via at least two receivers within a sports arena. The sports ball assembly generates and transmits UWB data packets comprising movement-related data for the sports ball assembly in real time at a predetermined rate. The at least two receivers receive the UWB data packets and transmit to the server processor with time stamps. The server processor is operable to determine a movement of the sports ball assembly based on the UWB data packets and the time stamps received from the at least two receivers.
Swing analysis method and swing analysis device
A swing analysis method includes acquiring measurement data measured by an inertial sensor in a swing motion with a golf club, and calculating torque data indicating a temporal change of a torque exerted on the golf club by analyzing the measurement data using a head speed coordination system having a first axis including a speed vector of a head of the golf club, a second axis being orthogonal to the first axis and extending along a shaft of the golf club, and a third axis orthogonal to both the first axis and the second axis.
Posture coaching system and method for weight training by motion pattern
Disclosed is a posture coaching method for weight training, which includes sensing an exercising motion of a user by a sensor module that is attached to a part of the body of the user or exercise equipment gripped by the user for exercising; calculating an inherent angle of the sensor module and a linear acceleration of each axis of a user-based coordinate system based on the user by using the sensed value; analyzing an exercising posture of the user by detecting and classifying a pattern of the linear acceleration and the inherent angle; and generating exercising posture correction data based on the classified pattern.
