Torque detection device of fitness equipment
A torque detection device of fitness equipment, the fitness equipment contains: a frame, a flywheel rotatably connected on the frame, and the torque detection device. The torque detection device includes a loading sensor and a magnetoresistance mechanism. A magnet holder of the magnetoresistance mechanism is rotatably connected on a fixer by way of a rotary shaft and has multiple magnets. A steel cable is configured to actuate a magnet holder to rotate along the rotary shaft so as to change a position of a respective one magnet of multiple magnets relative to a flywheel, and an area of the respective one magnet which covers the flywheel is changeable, thus changing a magnetoresistance of the respective one magnet of the magnet holder when the flywheel rotates. The loading sensor is configured to detect a reaction force of a magnetoresistance mechanism so as to calculate a torque value of the flywheel.
TREADMILL WITH INTERMEDIATE MEMBER
A treadmill is provided according to various embodiments herein. The treadmill includes a first rotatable element coupled to the frame; a second rotatable element coupled to the frame; an intermediate member coupled to the frame that is disposed intermediate the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element and coupled to at least one of the first rotatable element or the second rotatable element; a running belt disposed about the first and second rotatable elements, the running belt defining a non-planar surface; and a safety device coupled to the intermediate member. The safety device is operable to substantially prevent rotation of at least one of the first rotatable element or the second rotatable element in a first rotational direction and permit rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element or the second rotatable element in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.
Stationary Exercise Machine Configured to Execute a Programmed Workout with Aerobic Portions and Lifting Portions
An exercise machine includes an exercise element that is movable during a performance of a programmed workout, wherein the programmed workout includes an exercise performed using one or more free weights. The exercise machine also includes a console that incorporates a display and a speaker, one or more processors, and memory storing programmed instructions of the programmed workout that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to automatically control, by the programmed instructions of the programmed workout, an operating parameter of the exercise element during the performance of the programmed workout and automatically present, by the programmed instructions of the programmed workout, exercise instructions regarding alternating use of the exercise element and of the one or more free weights during the performance of the programmed workout.
Stationary Exercise Machine Configured to Execute a Programmed Workout with Aerobic Portions and Lifting Portions
A stationary bicycle includes pedals incorporated into the stationary bicycle and configured to be movable with respect to a frame of the stationary bicycle during execution of a programmed workout, wherein the programmed workout includes an exercise performed using one or more free weights. The stationary bicycle includes a display, one or more processors, and memory storing programmed instructions of the programmed workout that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to automatically alternate between biking portions of the programmed workout and lifting portions of the programed workout, automatically control a resistance level of the pedals during the biking portions of the programmed workout, and automatically present lifting instructions on the display, the lifting instructions configured to instruct a user on lifting the one or more free weights during the lifting portions of the programmed workout.
BODY TETHER APPARATUS
An exercise device consisting of a housing having a rope extending therethrough and wherein the rope is wound about a spool mounted on a driveshaft driven in a forward direction by a motor. The spool includes a one-way clutch for engaging the driveshaft in the forward direction and freely rotating on the driveshaft in the reverse direction. A distance sensor provides feedback upon the rope spooling out a certain distance. A recoil mechanism is coupled to the spool to rotate the spool in the reverse direction and rewind the rope.
Resistance sensing apparatus for exercise equipment
A resistance sensing apparatus for exercise equipment includes a resistance adjusting assembly and a sensing unit. The resistance adjusting assembly includes an adjusting unit, a tubular member disposed above the adjusting unit, and an adjusting shaft mounted in the tubular member. The adjusting shaft has a first threaded portion and a second threaded portion formed thereon. The adjusting unit is threaded onto the first threaded portion. The sensing unit includes a second threaded member threadedly engaged to the second threaded portion, a first sensing member is disposed on one of the adjusting unit and the second threaded member, the second sensing member is disposed on the other of the adjusting unit and the second threaded member. By adjusting the adjusting unit and the second threaded member, a distance of the first and the second sensing member is changed and generates corresponding signals.
System and method for rehabilitation
A system for determining an assessment of at least one exercise performed by a user is described. The system includes an input device, and a computing device. The input device is configured to monitor at least one exercise performed by a user. The computing device includes processors and a memory. The memory is coupled to the processors and stores program instructions that when executed by the processors cause the processors to: (1) generate a user interface displaying a content; (2) provide an instruction associated with the at least one exercise; (3) determine an indication of movement associated with the at least one exercise; (4) in response to a determination of the indication of movement, determine an assessment of the at least one exercise; and (5) in response to a determination of the assessment of the at least one exercise, perform an operation.
PROCESSING OF DATA COLLECTED VIA AN INSTRUMENTED MOUTHGAURD DEVICE, INCLUDING IDENTIFICATION OF FALSE IMPACTS
The present disclosure relates to technology adapted for improved assessment of brain injuries in a human subject. For example, in some embodiments the invention relates to improved processing of data collected via an instrumented mouthguard device, including identification of false impacts. It will be appreciated that the invention is not limited to such a field of use, and is applicable in broader contexts. For example, the technology may be applied to detect other changes in physical performance, beyond head injuries. Furthermore, the technology may be applied in respect of other wearable devices which detect/measure head impacts, for example helmets.
EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method for displaying archived exercise classes comprising displaying information about archived exercise classes that can be accessed by a first user via a computer network on a display screen at a first location, wherein the first user can select among a plurality of archived classes, outputting digital video and audio content comprising the selected archived class, detecting a performance parameter for the first user at a particular point in the selected class, displaying the performance parameter on the display screen, and displaying performance parameters from a second user at a second location on the display screen such that at least one of the performance parameters from the first user and at least one of the performance parameters from the second user at the same point in the class are presented for comparison.
