The system may include an apparel piece sized and dimensioned to be worn on a user and a sensor system integrated with the apparel piece. The sensor system may include at least one stretchable capacitive sensor positioned on the apparel piece so as to measure a biometric parameter of the user when the apparel piece is worn, an illumination system configured to provide illumination in a specified illumination area based on the measured biometric parameter of the user, and a control module to control one or more settings of the illumination system.
Portable Exercise-Related Data Apparatus
A portable apparatus includes an exercise-measurement circuitry that measures exercise-related measurement data related to a user carrying out an exercise, a communication circuitry configured to provide the portable apparatus with wireless communication capability, and a processing circuitry configured to a perform operations. The operations include receiving the exercise-related measurement data from the exercise-measurement circuitry, receiving configuration data from an external user interface apparatus over a bidirectional wireless communication connection established through the communication circuitry and capable of transferring payload data to both directions, processing the exercise-related measurement data according to the received exercise-related parameters in order to obtain advanced exercise-related data, and communicating the advanced exercise-related measurement data to the user interface apparatus over the bidirectional wireless communication connection.
Resistance sensing apparatus for exercise equipment
A resistance sensing apparatus for exercise equipment includes a resistance adjusting assembly and a sensing unit. The resistance adjusting assembly includes an adjusting unit, a tubular member disposed above the adjusting unit, and an adjusting shaft mounted in the tubular member. The adjusting shaft has a first threaded portion and a second threaded portion formed thereon. The adjusting unit is threaded onto the first threaded portion. The sensing unit includes a second threaded member threadedly engaged to the second threaded portion, a first sensing member is disposed on one of the adjusting unit and the second threaded member, the second sensing member is disposed on the other of the adjusting unit and the second threaded member. By adjusting the adjusting unit and the second threaded member, a distance of the first and the second sensing member is changed and generates corresponding signals.
SYSTEMS TO MONITOR BODY PORTIONS FOR INJURY AFTER IMPACT
Systems are described for monitoring extremities for injury or damage following a physical impact. A device embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a deformable substrate; a sensor assembly coupled to the deformable substrate, the sensor assembly configured to generate one or more sense signals based on detection of a physical impact to a body portion and based on detection of a physiological parameter; circuitry operably coupled to the sensor assembly and configured to receive the one or more sense signals based on detection of the physical impact and to determine whether the physical impact exceeds a threshold impact value, the circuitry configured to instruct the sensor assembly to detect one or more physiological parameters of the body portion when the physical impact exceeds the threshold impact value; and a reporting device operably coupled to the circuitry.
Single-Arm Workout Body Conditioning Machine
An exercise machine allows a user to perform a variety of resistance exercises with adjustable resistance levels. The machine is made up of an arm, a user platform, a horizontal base, an adjustable counterweight arrangement, a pull rod, a drive chain system, sprockets, shafts, adjustable fan, a slip bearing, a recoiler, a plurality of wheels, a drive chain system housing, a user back support, a user cable grip, and a circuit-breaking sensitive rubber mat. When the arm is moved upwards (by a user) the pull rod attached to a drive chain initiates the drive chain system rotation. The drive chain system rotation includes an adjustable weight fan that creates resistance to the arm's upper movement through inertia. The adjustable counterweight arrangement determines the arm drop speed and the arrangement has multiple positions. Other variants include a plurality of electronic encoders.
CONFIGURATION OF A RUNNING SURFACE FOR A MANUAL TREADMILL AND METHODS FOR OPERATING THE MANUAL TREADMILL
A treadmill is provided according to various embodiments herein. The treadmill includes a frame; a front shaft coupled to the frame; a rear shaft coupled to the frame; and a running belt disposed about the front and rear shafts, wherein the running belt assumes at least a portion of a curved running surface, the curved running surface having a radius of curvature of approximately 88 to 138 inches.
Exercise system and method
A method for displaying archived exercise classes comprising displaying information about archived exercise classes that can be accessed by a first user via a computer network on a display screen at a first location, wherein the first user can select among a plurality of archived classes, outputting digital video and audio content comprising the selected archived class, detecting a performance parameter for the first user at a particular point in the selected class, displaying the performance parameter on the display screen, and displaying performance parameters from a second user at a second location on the display screen such that at least one of the performance parameters from the first user and at least one of the performance parameters from the second user at the same point in the class are presented for comparison.
Exercise machine differential
An exercise machine comprises a motor, a gearbox coupled to the motor, a spool coupled to the gearbox, and a cable wound about the spool. The gearbox comprises bevel gears.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INCENTIVIZING AND QUANTIFYING PATIENT MOBILITY
A patient support apparatus includes a controller having a processor and a memory. The memory may have instructions stored therein related to an exercise regimen for a patient. A graphical user interface may be provided. The controller may be configured to display an alert on the graphical user interface when the patient requires exercise. User inputs may be displayed on the graphical user interface to enable a caregiver to record exercises completed by the patient.
Treadmill with Running Form Detection Device
The present invention relates to a novel treadmill with running form detection device. The device is an improved treadmill for detecting a user's gait, landing form, and arm swing, as well as other running biometrics on a treadmill. The treadmill with running form detection device comprises a treadmill having a body component with a plurality of sensors for detecting a user's running form. Typically, the plurality of sensors collect data on the running biometrics of a user, and the output of the sensors is then displayed via a display on the treadmill. Users can identify and correct their running form based on this output.
