BI-FUEL ENGINE WITH INCREASED POWER

A conventional gasoline engine is retrofitted and calibrated to operate as a bi-fuel engine using Hydrogen as the second fuel. When operated with Hydrogen, which typically leads to a reduction of engine output power, the engine is preferably operated in a charged mode and in a lean mode with the engine throttle kept in a wide-open position during charged and lean mode operation resulting in a more efficient engine with a reduction of engine output power loss.

Method and apparatus for modifying an OEM fuel system for bi-fuel use

The present invention is a system and method for adapting and modifying an existing mono-fuel delivery system for an internal combustion engine to run as a bi-fuel system by reusing and repurposing OEM components of the mono-fuel system. The bi-fuel system makes use of an integration plate that may be mounted to the system fuel filter in substantially the same location as the fuel filter is mounted in the mono-fuel configuration. The integration plate also may deliver either fuel types into the existing engine fuel intake port thus the system does not require the creation of a secondary fuel intake port for the secondary fuel. The integration plate may also be situated such that it minimizes the space it must use within the engine compartment and it may use the preexisting engine mounting points designed for the fuel filter in the mono-fuel system.

ELECTROCATALYTIC SYSTEM FOR REDUCING PULLUTION AND FUEL CONSUMPTION

An improved electrocatalytic system utilizes an Organic Rankine cycle system to take advantage of exhaust fume heat to convert a working fluid to steam used in a steam expander to generate electricity. The generated electricity is then used in electrolyzing water to produce hydrogen gases used as a supplemental fuel in an internal combustion (IC) engine. Thereby, the improved electrocatalytic system provides an efficient, less costly and retrofittable system for reducing harmful emissions and fossil fuel consumption in vehicles.

The invented system adds some petrol fuel to the vehicle engine which runs with natural gas (CNG or LPG). It causes a simultaneous combustion of petrol and natural gas (CNG or LPG). This action decreases depreciation of engine, increases power of the engine and reduces fuel consumption in natural gas vehicles. The above-mentioned system consists of an innovative petrol holder storage, an electronically circuit, a relay, a lever micro switch and a petrol fuel injector. Whenever the accelerator pedal is pressed more than a certain amount, the system will be activated and command to inject petrol collected in the storage into the air manifold.

Mixed fuel system

The present invention provides a novel combination of devices to measure and transmit to an electronic controller data pertaining to differential pressures, temperatures, regeneration status, exhaust content, accumulated gas consumption and substitute fuel consumption. The electronic controller compares the data to thresholds; when the controller receives signals indicating these thresholds or limits are met, the controller causes the gas substitution rate to be diminished or set to zero until after-treatments elements are fully regenerated thereby facilitating integration of a mixed fuel system with an application internal combustion engine.
