Systems and methods for determining fuel release from a fuel injector
Methods and systems for evaluating whether or not a fuel amount that is greater than a threshold has been release to an engine via fuel injectors when the fuel injectors are commanded off are presented. In one example, an oxygen sensor is activated and engine cranking is prevented until a pumping current of the oxygen sensor is proportionate to a concentration of oxygen sensed via the oxygen sensor so that released fuel may be observed during engine starting.
Work Vehicle
There are provided an intake pressure detecting means for detecting an intake pressure on more downstream side than a throttle valve in an intake passage to an engine, a rotational speed detecting means for detecting a rotational speed of an engine, an engine controlling means for controlling the engine to arrive at a target air-fuel ratio corresponding to the detected intake pressure and the detected engine rotational speed and an abnormality treating means for executing an engine stopping treatment to stop the engine if an intake pressure higher than a set pressure has been detected and an engine rotational speed higher than a set rotational speed has been detected, when an opening degree state detecting means detects that the throttle valve is under a fully closed or substantially fully closed state.
FUEL RECIRCULATION
A method of dissolving water into diesel fuel in a diesel engine includes pumping fuel through a flow path with a pump, directing a first portion of the fuel into a high pressure rail, injecting the first portion of the fuel into one or more cylinder heads for combustion, directing a second portion of the fuel into a first conduit, and actuating a flow diverter such that, the second portion of the fuel is directed toward a fuel reservoir when the flow diverter is in a first position, and the second portion of the fuel is directed toward the first pump bypassing the fuel reservoir when the flow diverter is in a second position.
Feedback control method for a fuel delivery system
A feedback control method for a fuel delivery system of an internal combustion engine, having a fuel delivery pump for supplying fuel, the fuel delivery pump having a pump mechanism driven by an electric motor, which is controlled by a generated control signal. The current fuel volume delivered by the fuel delivery pump and the prevailing fuel requirement of the internal combustion engine are included in the control signal. The prevailing fuel requirement is determined using characteristic variables that characterize the operating state of the internal combustion engine.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine with at least one combustion chamber, at least one fuel delivery line for the delivery of fuel to at least one combustion chamber, and at least one differential pressure control valve for controlling the pressure in the at least one fuel delivery line. The at least one differential pressure control valve is configured to perform a valve opening or valve closing movement based on a pressure difference between the at least one fuel delivery line and a reference volume having a reference pressure. The internal combustion engine further includes at least one pressure relief valve, separate from the at least one differential pressure control valve, and configured to open to cause a pressure relief in the reference volume and a decrease in the reference pressure if a drop occurs in the power to be performed by the internal combustion engine.
Fuel system with switchable pressure regulation
A fuel system is provided for switching between two separate regulated pressures of a first fuel pump to a supply line. The supply line supplies both a second fuel pump of a high pressure fuel injection system and a fuel injector separate from the high pressure fuel injection system. The switchover can include multiple regulators, one of which is selectively disabled.
Post-impact control system
A control system in a vehicle includes a sensor and a control module. The sensor is programmed to detect an impact to the vehicle while the vehicle is in a key-off state and output an impact signal in response to detecting the impact. The control module is programmed to activate in response to the impact signal, receive a condition signal identifying a vehicle condition, and prevent at least one vehicle operation based at least in part on the condition signal.
Auxiliary Fuel Tank Control Systems and Methods of Use
The present invention provides improved auxiliary fuel tank control systems and methods that avoid the need for locating, identifying, and tapping into a wire leading from the sending unit of the vehicle's primary fuel tank by connecting directly to a diagnostic port of the vehicle which is in communication with the output from the sending unit. Based on information received from the sending unit, embodiments of the invention may automatically cause fuel to be pumped from an auxiliary tank to the primary tank when the amount of fuel in the primary tank drops below a threshold.
GARDEN TOOL
A garden tool includes a gasoline engine and a power source, the gasoline engine including a fuel supply system and an ignition system. The garden tool may further include a control system with at least one sensor used for collecting a working condition signal of the gasoline engine and a controller used for receiving the working condition signal and controlling the fuel supply system and/or the ignition system according to the working condition signal received. The power source may provide a power supply for the fuel supply system, the ignition system, and the control system through the controller.
METHOD FOR STARTING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A method for starting an internal combustion engine, having which has at least one cylinder, a controllable starter and a controllable fuel injection device, at least one cylinder, in particular every cylinder, of the internal combustion engine being assigned at least one decompression valve for reducing the compression which takes place during the operation of the internal combustion engine in the case of a compression stroke. A defined starting rotational speed is predetermined in the control unit, that, in the case of a controlled activation of the starter, the at least one decompression valve is opened in an automatically controlled manner by means of a control unit, and that the control unit detects the current rotational speed of the internal combustion engine and, when the defined starting rotational speed is reached, closes the at least one decompression valve and activates the fuel injection device.
