CAMERA EQUIPPED CYCLE AND COORDINATED PUNCH EXERCISE DEVICE AND METHODS
A punch-and-cycle exercise device is described. The device includes a cycling mechanism, a frame to which a punch-pad is attached, a plurality of delineated target zones arranged on the punch pad, a sensor unit that may include an impact sensor, an accelerometer, and a single or plurality of hall effect sensors, each communicatively connected to the target zones. A control unit communicatively connects with the sensors, a punch-pad mounted camera, and a display. Gloves with built in magnets and/or unique markings/visual identifiers interact with the sensors and/or camera and provide data to the controller to track user success at responding with correct puncing form to illuminated and sequenced punching programs while cycling. Output can be displayed locally or on any paired device.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR EXERCISE AND SPORTS
According to one example, a training device includes a first set of time of flight sensors (ToF) positioned to face in a first direction, a plurality of addressable red, green, blue light emitting diodes (RGB LEDs) positioned to face in the first direction, and a second set of ToF sensors positioned to face in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction. The training device includes and/or is in communication with one or more processors that can determine a training program for a user that includes visual signals that represent a plurality of actions for performance by the user. Also, for each of the plurality of actions, the training device can cause a first set of the plurality of addressable RGB LEDs to provide a visual indication of the corresponding action for performance by the user, and detect whether the user performed the corresponding action.
SLOW-PITCH SOFTBALL STRIKE-INDICATING MAT
A sensing system and method determines whether a slow pitch softball has been delivered in a strike zone. The system includes: a dual, mirror image slow-pitch software home plate; the home plate having an upper surface and a lower surface; the lower surface configured for attachment to ground; the upper surface comprising a pressure or impact sensing array covering at least edges of the upper surface of the home plate; the sensing array having a battery source for powering the system; the sensing array issuing an electrical signal when sensing pressure or impact; and the electrical signal connected to an audio or visual output device that indicates receiving of the electrical signal by a visual or audio emission.
Surfing simulation device and surfing simulation method
A surfing simulation device can be wirelessly connected with virtual reality (VR) glasses. The surfing simulation device includes a surfboard, a surfboard base, and a controller disposed in the surfboard base. The controller controls the actions of the surfboard based on scene information associated with a surfing scene displayed in the VR glasses, such that the actions of the surfboard are synchronous with the surfing scene displayed in the VR glasses. The surfboard of the surfing simulation device can make simulating actions in real time by synchronizing with a surfing scene displayed in VR glasses, such that users can experience the immersive feeling.
Heads up sports training system
The sports training system includes a first housing including a transmitter; a second housing including a receiver and a wireless communication module; a plurality of illuminating targets in communication with the wireless communication module; and a remote control in wireless communication with the transmitter, the receiver, and the plurality of illuminating targets. In operation, the transmitter projects a transmission and the receiver is positioned laterally away from the transmitter and receives the transmission. In response to an object passing between the transmitter and receiver, the receiver is blocked from receiving the transmission. In response to the receiver being blocked from receiving the transmission, a selected one of the targets illuminates. Input from the remote control controls operation of one of the transmitter, the receiver, or one of the plurality of illuminating targets.
HOPSCOTCH TRAMPOLINE
A hopscotch trampoline has a trampoline with a bed suspended across a trampoline frame. The bed has a bed center, a bed middle, and a bed periphery. A trampoline length is greater than a trampoline width. A hopscotch field is formed on the bed. The hopscotch field includes successive areas. The successive areas are at least partially linearly oriented. Contact sensors mounted on each area and the contact sensors are electrically connected by an electrical connection and electrically connected to a control panel harness. A middle crossbar can extend underneath the bed and connecting a right vertical post to a left vertical post.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A QUANTITATIVE DETECTION OF A MOVEMENT
A system for a quantitative detection of a movement. The system includes a signal emitter and two signal receivers, positioned in series, along a first axis parallel to a second axis of movement of a reflective marker provided on a moving object. The reflective marker is configured to reflect a signal emitted by the signal emitter towards the two signal receivers. The two receivers have a signal reception coverage such that allows existence of a reflective marker position, on the second axis, in which the reflective marker of a given size is recognized simultaneously by the two signal receivers.
Playground climbing structures
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to playground climbing structures that provide a pathway defined by a lower surface and bound on each side by a sidewall. The structures may comprise sensory play activities on the interior of the sidewalls as well as on the exterior of the sidewalls. The climbing structure is also adapted so as to be accessible to children of varying physical abilities, including for instance children with disabilities, such as by having at least one platform configured for access from a wheelchair or other mobility device and incremental adjustments in elevation that may be navigated by a child with limited mobility. Embodiments of the climbing structures are assembled from a plurality of components, which can be connected together in a variety of configurations to provide custom modular structures.
Interactive floor and amusement systems and methods employing same
An amusement system features an interactive floor with an array of panels laid out in one or more grids to collectively define an interactive floor surface, an illumination system operable to individually illuminate each panel, and a sensing system operable to detect presence of any participant atop any panel. A base frame of the interactive floor is composed of a plurality of base modules seated on a subfloor, and supporting a respective panel for one or more cells of the interactive floor. The base modules are not directly fastened together, and instead are only intercoupled by perimeter seals applied over peripheral regions of the panels of neighbouring modules. Separation of the modules is constrained by surrounding walls of a room fully occupied by the interactive floor. In gameplay, some panels are distinctively illuminated as hazards to be avoided by participants, subject to penalty.
Compact ball launching system and associated methods
This disclosure relates to a relatively compact smart ball launching system and associated methods for using the same. In various embodiments, the disclosed ball launching system may comprise a collapsible ball hopper that can store a larger number of balls while maintaining a relatively compact size. In certain embodiments, brushless motors may be used to improve power efficiency while allowing for accurate launch speeds and/or spins. In some embodiments, a pre-launch chamber may be included in a ball dispensing mechanism that may facilitate on-demand shots and/or power savings by shutting the ball launching system down when the ball hopper is empty. In further embodiments, the ball launching system may be controlled, at least in part, via a mobile device. In some implementations, the ball launching system may include and/or otherwise interface with a camera system to facilitate improved calibration and/or record user actions.
