Agricultural machine for revisiting a planted plot; associated method
This machine includes a tool (30) actuated by an actuating module (32); a dual-frequency satellite positioning module (40) able to take into account corrections relative to the disruptions affecting the propagation of radio navigation signals emitted by each of the visible radio navigation satellites and that are caused by the ionosphere, so as to determine an absolute position of the machine, and consequently of the tool, which is precise to within a centimeter; and a computer (50) able to compare the instantaneous absolute position of the tool and an absolute position of a current revisiting point, selected from among the revisiting points of a revisiting plan, the computer then being able to command the actuation module.
Singulation-style seeding system
A singulation-style seeding system includes planter row units arranged on a drill that may have a front rank and a back rank. The planter units may singulate and deliver seeds from a first segment of the drill, which may correspond to one of the front and back ranks. A high-volume fertilizer may be delivered from a second segment of the drill, which may correspond to the other one of the front and back ranks and may be delivered at a relatively high delivery rate. A starter fertilizer may be delivered at a relatively lower delivery rate at or near seed furrows.
Method for metering granular material and apparatus for metering granular material
In a method for metering granular material, and in a corresponding metering apparatus, the granular material is carried and conveyed by an airflow and/or by its own kinetic energy and directed through a feed tube into a metering unit, where it is guided along an approximately circular arc path and tangentially directed into an outlet tube, which is adjacent to the metering unit and which runs, at least in a section, slightly curved. The granular material is approximately evenly spaced or evenly metered and conveyed in an outer area of the curved outlet tube and is at least partially carried by the airflow being discharged and exiting the metering unit through the outlet tube.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR AGRICULTURAL LIQUID APPLICATION
Systems, methods and apparatus for monitoring soil properties and applying fertilizer during a planting operation. Various sensors are disposed in ground engaging components for monitoring soil properties. Liquid delivery systems are provided for injecting liquid into the soil adjacent to the seed planting trench formed by the planter row unit trench opening assembly.
Apparatus for applying a pesticide to perennial crops
An applicator assembly for applying an active substance to the root zone of a plurality of plants, the applicator assembly comprising: a subsoil applicator having a cutting element for generating an incision in the ground, an injector associated with the cutting element to allow the active substance to be injected into the incision; and a positioning device adapted to allow the position of the cutting element to change position such that an incision is generated in some material in the root zone while the cutting element moves over other material in the root zone.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PREDICTING CROP FEATURES AND EVALUATING INPUTS AND PRACTICES
A method and system for evaluating and predicting a set of crop-associated features at an agriculture site, the method comprising: receiving a set of samples associated with the agriculture site; generating a sample dataset upon processing the set of samples with a set of sample processing operations; generating a set of microbiome-associated features upon performing a set of transformation operations upon the sample dataset; and returning an analysis characterizing the set of crop-associated features based upon the set of microbiome-associated features. The method can further include steps for executing an action for producing a desired outcome in relation to the agriculture site, with respect to a specific soil type and a specific crop, based upon the analysis.
FERTILIZER AND ROW CLEANER MODULES FOR AGRICULTURAL ROW PLANTER
The agricultural planter includes an open modular fertilizer assembly mounted upon a docking station, independently of the row unit. The fertilizer assembly on the row cleaner can be raised and lowered between the field and transport positions independently of raising and lowering the row unit. The cleaner floats so as to follow the contour of the ground. The fertilizer assembly applies fertilizer on both sides of the seedbed formed by the opening discs to a depth below the seed. The docking station isolates the row cleaner and fertilizer assembly from the planter unit for independent height control of the row cleaner and fertilizer assembly.
Systems, methods, and apparatus for multi-row agricultural implement control and monitoring
A monitoring system and method for modify a motor speed driving a seed conveyor on an implement so that the seed release speed is matched to the travel speed of the implement. A speed sensor measures the travel speed of the implement. A seed conveyor having a plurality of flights receives seeds from a seed meter. A monitor is in communication with the speed sensor, the motor driving the seed conveyor, a first sensor disposed to detect the passing of seeds and the flights as they travel toward the soil and a second sensor disposed to detect the passing of flights after the seed is released, wherein the monitor modifies the motor speed of the conveyor based on the speed sensor and signals generated by the first sensor and second sensor.
WHEEL POSITION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
An agricultural implement system includes a wheel position control system configured to control respective positions of an aligned wheel and an offset wheel of the agricultural implement system. The aligned wheel is configured to be substantially laterally aligned with a corresponding vehicle wheel/track, and the offset wheel is configured to be laterally offset from the corresponding vehicle wheel/track. The wheel position control system is configured to instruct lowering of the aligned wheel and the offset wheel to transition a toolbar assembly to a non-working position, the wheel position control system is configured to instruct raising of the aligned and offset wheels to transition the toolbar assembly to a working position, and the wheel position control system is configured to instruct raising of the offset wheel above the aligned wheel while the toolbar assembly is in the working position such that the offset wheel is disengaged from the soil surface.
Agricultural apparatus with hybrid single-disk, double-disk coulter arrangement
An agricultural row unit assembly includes an attachment frame, a swing-arm, an opener disk, a deflecting disk, a support, a gauge wheel, and a ground-hardness sensor. The opener disk is mounted to and offset from the distal end of the swing-arm for forming a furrow, and is configured to rotate about a first axis. The deflecting disk is mounted to the distal end of the swing-arm for deflecting debris from entering the furrow, and is configured to rotate about a second axis. The support has a first end pivotably mounted to the swing-arm and a second end movable relative to the opener disk. The gauge wheel is mounted to the second end of the support. The ground-hardness sensor is disposed within the swing-arm and is configured to detect movement of the gauge wheel relative to the opener disk.
