An agricultural system includes a tow bar, a first row-cleaning device, and a second row-cleaning device. The first row-cleaning device is attached to the tow bar via a first frame and includes a first roller device in a trailing position relative to a first furrow-opener disk and configured to crush standing residual plant matter along a first path on a field. The second row-cleaning device is attached to the tow bar via a second frame and includes a second roller device in a trailing position relative to a second furrow-opener disk and configured to crush standing residual plant matter along a second path on the field. The second roller device is offset longitudinally from the first roller device.

Apparatus For Determining An Application Rate For A Product Delivered By An Agricultural Vehicle

An improved system of determining the speed at which an agricultural vehicle is traveling is disclosed. A control system for the sprayer receives feedback signals from multiple sensors, where each feedback signal may be utilized to determine the speed at which the sprayer is traveling. An operator interface, such as a touch-screen terminal, is provided to receive input from the operator for selecting one of the feedback signals. Each of the feedback signals has certain operating conditions under which they are more or less reliable. The operator may select one of the feedback signals from which the speed of the sprayer is determined according to the present operating conditions. The speed determined from the selected feedback signal is then used by the sprayer to control and record application of product to the field.

A v-slice insert for row crop planters includes a precision cast insert body which extends from an upper forward attachment end to a lower trailing end. The v-slice insert features a precision cast internal fertilizer tube receiving channel which protects a fertilizer tube, which, in turn delivers fertilizer to soil that eventually lies directly under planted seeds. The v-slice insert also includes a step feature near the fertilizer tube outlet to prevent the obstruction of the fertilizer tube with soil should the v-slice insert be moved in a reverse direction through soil during a turn. Further, side bulges in the sides of the v-slice insert fracture seed planting furrow side walls to facilitate closure of the furrow and complete covering of the planted seed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

In one aspect, an agricultural implement includes a row unit including a frame. A center coulter can be operably coupled with the frame. A knife can be operably coupled with the frame and positioned aft of the center coulter. A diverging gap can be defined between the center coulter and the knife such that the diverging gap increases in width in the forward/aft direction as a location along the knife moves upward.

MATERIAL DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Described herein is an aerial material delivery system, which includes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and a material dispensing assembly mounted to the UAV. The material dispensing assembly includes a rotary cartridge defining a plurality of channels extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the rotary cartridge, each channel retaining a respective set of tablets therein, an indexing motor configured to index the channels, and a dispenser configured to dispense a single tablet at a time from the rotary cartridge to a target location. Methods of operating such a system are also described.
