Controller for vehicle transmission
A controller for a vehicle transmission includes a storage part that stores data and a control part that executes processing by using the data stored in the storage part. The storage part stores a plurality of control processes of the vehicle transmission. The storage part further comprises a table including a start address and an end address of each of a first software program and a second software program as duplicated software programs, and the control unit executes the second software program instead of the first software program if the abnormal address is located between the first address and the end address of the first software program, and no abnormal address is located between the first address and the end address of the second software program.
Method and system for diagnosing failure of piston cooling device
A method for diagnosing a failure of a solenoid valve of a piston cooling device is provided. The method includes varying a pressure in a variable proportional control oil pump when an opening command or a closing command of the solenoid valve is sent to inject oil from the piston cooling device. Additionally, a variation of an oil pressure in an oil flow path of the piston cooling device is monitoring according to a variation of the pressure in the variable proportional control oil pump and whether a failure occurs at the solenoid valve of the piston cooling device is then determined.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT
A fuel injection device includes a first driver for driving a first valve and a second driver for driving a second valve. A control device performs an open control of the first valve multiple times by using the first driver, for enabling multistage fuel injection from an injection hole in one fuel cycle of an internal combustion engine via a high pressure fuel passage. The control device performs an open-close control of the second valve by using the second driver during an open control of the first valve by using the first driver, for controlling an inclination of injection rate of the fuel injection. The control device stops an output of a drive signal to the second driver when detecting an overheat of a drive circuit based on a temperature detection result of a temperature sensor.
CONTROL METHOD OF A VEHICLE HAVING AN EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM
A control method of a vehicle having an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system includes efficiently controlling a temperature of recirculated exhaust gas and, even when the temperature of recirculated exhaust gas excessively increases, damage to hardware, such as an intake manifold or parts of the exhaust gas recirculation system can be prevented. The control method includes: detecting the temperature of exhaust gas recirculated to an engine intake system by the EGR system; entering into a protection mode so as to control the temperature of the recirculated exhaust gas; determining a correction value such that the controller controls the temperature of the recirculated exhaust gas; and correcting an engine control value by using the determined correction value and controlling an engine according to the corrected engine control value.
Method and systems for a radiator fan
Systems and a method are provided for determining a change in performance of a radiator fan. In one example, a system includes a controller configured to receive a signal output from an accelerometer positioned proximately to and/or operatively coupled with a bearing of a radiator fan, process the signal to determine a peak to peak acceleration value, and indicate a change in performance of the radiator fan when the peak to peak acceleration value is greater than a designated threshold value.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR A VCR CONNECTING ROD FOR DETERMINING A DEFECT
A control device for a VCR connecting rod which can be operated by way of an actuation circuit is provided. Such a VCR connecting rod is to enable safe operation. For this purpose, a detection device is provided for determining a defect of the actuation circuit. Furthermore, the invention relates to a respectively associated method for operating an actuation circuit of a VCR connecting rod of an internal combustion engine.
Operating a fuel injector having a hydraulic stop
Various embodiments include a method for operating a fuel injector with a solenoid drive having a hydraulic stop at a predetermined fuel pressure comprising: applying a first current profile to the solenoid including a first holding current value prespecifying the current flowing during a holding phase; determining a resulting first flux; determining a first force based on the first flux corresponding to a hydraulic force exerted on the armature by fuel; determining a deviation between the first force and an optimal force corresponding to the predetermined fuel pressure; determining a second holding current based on the first holding current and the determined deviation; and applying a second current profile to carry out a second injection process using the second holding current value to apply a hydraulic force on the armature by the fuel adapted to the optimal force value.
Controller for internal combustion engine
A controller for an internal combustion engine includes: a failure determination section which determines a failure state in a case where a relative rotation phase of an intake side valve opening and closing timing control mechanism does not change when controlling the mechanism after starting the driving of a starter motor and trying to change the relative rotation phase of the mechanism in a start control for starting an internal combustion engine. When the section determines a failure, the controller performs at least one of an intake air amount increase control in which an opening degree of a throttle valve is increased, an ignition timing advance angle control in which injection of fuel is performed at a timing earlier than a set timing and ignition is performed, and a multi-injection control in which the fuel is injected immediately before the ignition in addition to the fuel injection in an intake stroke.
Method for controlling starting of vehicle upon failure of camshaft position sensor
A method for controlling starting of a vehicle upon a failure of a camshaft position sensor includes performing a fuel injection and ignition at a particular timing for starting an engine of the vehicle; measuring a battery voltage of the vehicle after the performing of the fuel injection and ignition for starting the engine; and when the battery voltage rises over a predetermined value, determining that the fuel injection and the ignition are performed at a normal timing.
Engine-controlling device
An engine-controlling device includes a coolant passage, a radiator, and a control valve. A coolant discharged from a pump circulates through the coolant passage. The radiator cools the coolant. The control valve includes a first valve that adjusts a flow rate of the coolant to be introduced into the radiator and that includes a valve member driven by an electric actuator, a second valve that is arranged in parallel with the first valve and that includes a valve member that is opened in accordance with a pressure or a temperature, and a malfunction-diagnosing unit that detects a valve-stuck malfunction of the first valve. An output of the engine is limited to an output equal to or less than a limiting value determined on a basis of a maximum flow rate of the coolant introduced into the radiator from the second valve when the valve-stuck malfunction of the first valve occurs.
