ENGINE CONTROL DEVICE AND ENGINE DEVICE
Provided is an engine control device and an engine device that enable stable self-travelling of the engine in a limp home mode. The engine control device includes a revolution speed detection unit that detects revolution speed of the engine, and an arithmetic unit that calculates an opening of a throttle valve opened by an electronic throttle mechanism, and an injection amount of fuel injected by injectors. In an operation of the engine in the limp home mode, in a case where the revolution speed of the engine detected by the revolution speed detection unit exceeds a predetermined limiting value, the arithmetic unit performs an operation to suppress injection of the fuel to be injected by the injectors.
System and method for management of multiple exhaust gas recirculation coolers
A system is provided. The system includes a controller communicatively coupled to an industrial combustion engine and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, wherein the EGR system is configured to route exhaust gas generated by the industrial combustion engine from at least one exhaust system to at least one intake system, the EGR system includes multiple EGR circuits, each EGR circuit of the multiple EGR circuits includes an EGR cooler unit including at least two of a high temperature non-condensing cooler, a low temperature condensing cooler, an adiabatic gas/liquid separator, and a reheater. The controller includes a processor and a non-transitory memory encoding one or more processor-executable routines, wherein the one or more routines, when executed by the processor, cause the controller to control operations of both the industrial combustion engine and the EGR system.
DEVICE, PROGRAM, RECORDING MEDIUM, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING DEVICE NORMALITY AND ABNORMALITY INVOLVING LOADS
A reference range identifying device acquires and records, at a predetermined time interval, a measuring result of a load and exhaust temperature of an engine. The device identifies, based on combinations of the load and exhaust temperature recorded at multiple points of time, for each load zone, for example a 95% confidence interval of a distribution of exhaust temperatures as a reference range. Subsequently, the device calculates an approximate curve for lower limits and upper limits of reference ranges identified for the load zones. The device identifies a range sandwiched by the calculated two approximate curves as a reference range that changes in accordance with a load. The device, upon detecting that a current load and exhaust temperature of the engine is not included in the reference range, notifies the detected fact to a user.
Controller for Vehicle Transmission
Provided is a method of securing a safe state of a vehicle transmission and avoiding deterioration of drivability without restricting a function of the vehicle transmission when a ROM failure is detected in a controller for a vehicle transmission. A software program is duplicated in a unit of control with identical contents, and when a ROM failure is detected, same control as a normal operation is performed by alternative control of control at the ROM failure site.
Control apparatus of engine having turbocharger and method thereof
A control apparatus of an engine having a turbocharger may include the engine generating power by combustion of a fuel, the turbocharger including a turbine operated by exhaust gas of the engine and a compressor connected to the turbine by a rotating shaft, and thus supercharging air to a combustion chamber provided in the engine by the compressor, a detecting sensor detecting pre-ignition in the combustion chamber of the engine, and a controller controlling supercharging pressure supplied to the combustion chamber by using a required torque, ignition timing of the combustion chamber, and an air-fuel ratio, and thus controlling the pre-ignition in the combustion chamber, when the pre-ignition in the combustion chamber may be detected by the detecting sensor.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR ENGINE CONTROL
Systems and methods for determining air-fuel error in an engine fueled via direct and port fuel injection. Errors associated with individual fuel injection systems are distinguished from a common error based on trends in the error correction coefficients of the individual fuel injection systems. Adaptive fuel multipliers for each injection system are updated to account for the common error.
CONTROL METHOD FOR DUAL INJECTOR OF ENGINE
A method for controlling a plurality of injectors installed in the same cylinder of an engine may include determining whether an electrical failure occurred in any of the injectors, and entering a fail-safe mode when an electrical failure has occurred only in one of the plurality of injectors in the same cylinder. In the fail-safe mode, fuel supply to an injector that has experienced an electrical failure is cut off, and the amount of fuel injected into the cylinder by a normally operating injector is increased.
Valve fault detection
Methods and systems are described for detecting valve actuation faults in internal combustion engines operating in a skip fire operational mode. In one aspect, for each skip fire working cycle, an expected exhaust pressure is determined for a time period corresponding to a potential exhaust event. One or more exhaust gas pressure sensors are then used to measure an actual exhaust pressure during the potential exhaust period. The actual exhaust pressure is compared to the expected exhaust pressure to determine whether a valve actuation fault has occurred. A variety of valve actuation faults can be identified using the described approach. In some embodiments pressure sensors are deployed in the runners of the exhaust manifold.
Vehicle engine control system
There is provided a vehicle engine control system that includes engine and transmission control functions and enables evacuation driving to be readily performed. A monitoring control circuit unit and an error processing circuit unit monitors controlling operation of a main control circuit unit; when the occurrence frequency of valve-opening control abnormality becomes larger than threshold value, a first storage circuit stores the occurrence frequency, and driving of an intake valve control motor is stopped to set to fixed opening degree; when transmission-control abnormality is occurs, power supply to automatic transmission is stopped to set to the third speed fixation ratio; when an abnormality occurs, evacuation driving is implemented using fixed opening degree and automatic transmission ratio, variable rotation speed and fixed transmission ratio, or fixed opening degree and fixed transmission ratio. When valve-opening control abnormality or transmission-control abnormality occurs, fuel injection control is prevented from being inappropriately stopped.
IGNITION CONTROL SYSTEM
An ignition control system is applied to an internal combustion engine having an ignition coil, a switching element and a measurement detection part which detects at least one of a primary and a secondary voltages and a secondary current. The ignition coil has a primary coil and a secondary coil. The switching element performs conduction and interruption the primary current to the primary coil. The ignition control system has a primary current control unit generating a spark discharge at the ignition plug by passing the primary current through the primary coil, and perform interruption of the primary current, and a discharge short-circuiting determination part determining a generation of discharge short-circuiting based on a measured value. The primary current control unit generates the spark discharge again when discharge short-circuiting occurs.
