Fuel mixing occurrence detection device and fuel mixing occurrence detection method using fuel property
A fuel mixing occurrence detection device is provided. The device includes a fuel-type identification unit that identifies a type of fuel injected into a vehicle by comparing a fuel pump drive RPM for achieving target fuel pressure with a predetermined reference value upon starting of the vehicle. A communication unit transmits a fuel mixing occurrence to an in-vehicle controller in response to determining that the fuel mixing has occurred.
HYDROGEN PRESSURE MAINTAINING SYSTEM OF HYDROGEN FUEL ENGINE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME
A hydrogen pressure maintenance system of a hydrogen fuel engine includes a hydrogen tank configured to store hydrogen, an injector configured to inject the hydrogen, a hydrogen internal combustion engine configured to operate using the hydrogen from the injector, a hydrogen pressure controller configured to supply the hydrogen to the injector by controlling a pressure of the hydrogen supplied from the hydrogen tank, a hydrogen pressure intensifier device configured to increase the pressure of the hydrogen and supply the hydrogen to the injector, a hydrogen pressure sensor configured to measure the pressure of the hydrogen and output a signal based on the measured pressure of the hydrogen, a hydrogen bypass valve configured to control the hydrogen to be supplied to the injector through the hydrogen pressure controller or to the injector through the hydrogen pressure intensifier device, and a controller configured to control the hydrogen bypass valve according to the signal from the hydrogen pressure sensor.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR A VCR CONNECTING ROD FOR DETERMINING A DEFECT
A control device for a VCR connecting rod which can be operated by way of an actuation circuit is provided. Such a VCR connecting rod is to enable safe operation. For this purpose, a detection device is provided for determining a defect of the actuation circuit. Furthermore, the invention relates to a respectively associated method for operating an actuation circuit of a VCR connecting rod of an internal combustion engine.
System and method for axial zoning of heating power
A heater system for an exhaust system is provided. The heater system includes a heater disposed in an exhaust conduit. The heater includes a plurality of heating elements disposed in the exhaust conduit. A heating control module controls the plurality of heating elements differently according to operating conditions specific to each heating element. In other forms, the heater system for an exhaust system has a plurality of heating zones, instead of a plurality of heating elements. The heating control module controls the plurality of heating zones differently according to operating conditions specific to each heating zone.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WIRELESS CONTROL OF AN ENGINE-DRIVEN WELDING POWER SUPPLY
Systems and methods for wireless control of welding power supplies are disclosed. An example welding power supply includes: a housing comprising a control panel configured to receive inputs from an operator; power conversion circuitry configured to convert input power into output power for a welding operation; and local control circuitry configured to wirelessly receive a control signal from remote control circuitry of a portable electronic device, and to control the welding power supply based on the received control signal; wherein the local control circuitry is configured to set prioritization of control of the welding power supply between the portable electronic device and the control panel of the welding power supply, prevent the control panel from controlling a parameter of the welding power supply when the portable electronic device is prioritized, and prevent the portable electronic device from controlling the parameter when the control panel is prioritized.
Method and control device for detecting a combustion process of an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle
A method for detecting a combustion process of an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle includes the steps of acquiring a rotational speed signal representing a rotational speed of the crankshaft, acquiring a crankshaft angle signal representing a crankshaft angle of the crankshaft, and determining, based on the rotational speed signal and the crankshaft angle signal, whether a combustion occurs in the internal combustion engine. A control device for detecting a combustion process of an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle is also provided.
System and method for diagnosing an EGR system
Methods and systems for diagnosing operation of an exhaust gas recirculation system of an internal combustion engine are described. In one example, the EGR system is diagnosed while an engine that includes the EGR system is not rotating and combusting fuel. The EGR system is diagnosed when the engine is not operating so that vehicle passengers are not disturbed by the diagnostic and so that flow estimates through the EGR system may not be disturbed by pressure changes that may be related to combustion within the engine.
Method for engine laser ignition system
Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing a laser ignition system of an engine. In one example, a controller may operate the laser in a sealed cylinder hours after key-off. Then, the cylinder may be unsealed and a change in exhaust temperature may be correlated with laser functionality.
Vehicle and control method for vehicle
When a user requests start-up of an internal combustion engine while PM removal control is in execution or immediately after execution of the PM removal control is completed, an electronic control unit informs the user of the vehicle of a first alarm, so that the user recognizes that the internal combustion engine cannot be started up immediately. This makes it possible to suppress the discomfort caused because the internal combustion engine is not started up.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DIAGNOSING AN ACTIVE ENGINE MOUNT CONDITION
In one or more embodiments, during a stopped condition of the vehicle, commanding stiffening and dampening modes of an active engine mount (AEM) system while inducing vehicle vibrations and recording images. In this way, a condition of the AEM system may be indicated based on the recorded images.
