Methods and systems for dual fuel injection system

Methods and systems are provided for reducing lean air-fuel ratio excursions due to degradation of a port injector while fueling an engine via each of port and direct injection. During a PFDI mode of engine operation, responsive to an indication of port injector degradation, such as due to circuit or injector power issues, intake airflow is limited by reducing the opening of an intake throttle. Air flow is limited to be based only on the direct injected fuel fraction, and independent of the commanded port injected fuel fraction.

Hybrid work machine

Provided is a hybrid work machine in which a hybrid system and a downsized engine are used. The hybrid work machine performs rapid charging of a power storage device while preventing decreases in the output power of a hydraulic pump. A vehicle body controller performs engine revolution speed decreasing control in which, if the charge rate of a battery becomes equal to or less than a minimum charge rate, the target revolution speed of an engine is reduced. The vehicle body controller also performs torque reducing control in which the maximum absorption torque of a hydraulic pump is reduced. By performing these control operations, the vehicle body controller coercively generates surplus torque for the engine and operates a generator-motor as a generator.

Apparatus and method for controlling flow control valve for high pressure fuel pump

An apparatus and a method for controlling a flow control valve for a high-pressure fuel pump include: a pressure sensor for fuel in a delivery pipe; a control unit for controlling an operation of a flow control valve by controlling a current applied to a coil; a power switching unit for supplying or blocking driving power supplied to the flow control valve based on a control signal of the control unit; and a current adjustment unit electrically connected/disconnected with the flow control valve by the power switching unit to reduce a current supplied to the flow control valve when the current adjustment unit is connected with the flow control valve. Therefore, a noise and a vibration by collision between the plunger and the core upon closing the flow control valve may be attenuated by adjusting a current amount applied to the coil.

INJECTION CONTROLLER

An injection controller has a voltage applicator that applies a voltage to a driving coil of an injection valve. After a voltage is applied to the driving coil with a peak current for opening the injection valve, the voltage applicator applies a power supply voltage to the driving coil in an ON-OFF manner, to supply the driving coil with a less-than-peak current. A comparator detects whether a terminal voltage at a terminal of the coil is less than a predetermined threshold voltage. Upon detecting that the terminal voltage is less than the threshold voltage, a discharge switch applies a boosted voltage to the driving coil.
