Exercise evaluation improvement system, and exercise evaluation improvement method
An exercise rating and improvement system comprising: a feature amount extraction unit for extracting, from information obtained from a subject, a feature amount about exercise efficiency; an rating unit for rating exercise efficiency of the subject by comparing the extracted feature amount and a feature amount to be compared; and an improvement information providing unit for providing, on the basis of the rating result, information such that the feature amount of the subject approaches the feature amount to be compared.
MOTORIZED PADDLING SIMULATOR
A paddling simulator includes a bar, a cable attached to the bar, a motor operationally coupled to the cable such that the motor can apply a force to the cable, and a controller configured to control the motor to generate a first tension in the cable during a propulsion phase of a paddling stroke and a second tension in the cable during a recovery phase of the paddling stroke.
Golf swing playing aid device
A golf swing playing aid device for use on a conventional golf club having a handle, an impact head and a shaft. The golf swing playing aid device may include a grip member having an outer portion and an inner portion. The outer portion may be adapted to be grasped by a hand of the user. The inner portion may be configured to slide along the golf club shaft. The playing aid device may include an electronic device including a rotational sensor adapted to detect a change in rotation relative to at least one axis, and a controller operably coupled to the rotational sensor. The controller may read the rotational sensor to determine the change in rotation relative to at least one axis. When the change in rotation is greater than a threshold amount, the controller may provide an indication to the user, thereby indicating over-rotation of the golf swing.
System and method for evaluation, detection, conditioning, and treatment of neurological functioning and conditions
A system and method for evaluation, detection, conditioning, and treatment of neurological functioning and conditions which uses data obtained while a person is engaged in simultaneously in a range of primary physical tasks combined with defined types of associative activity, such as listening, reading, speaking, mathematics, logic puzzles, navigation of a virtual environment, recall of past stimuli, etc. The data from the physical and associative activities are combined to generate a composite functioning score visualization indicating the relative functioning of areas aspects of neurological functioning; including those in which deficiencies may be present, which are early indicators of possible neurological conditions. Through algorithmic recommendations combined with expert and user input, a conditioning regimen targeting neurological aspects of interest paired with periodic testing allows the user to track their progress in these areas over time.
Ball retrieval system and method
A tennis ball retriever for retrieving a tennis ball on and about a tennis court and for controllably releasing the ball includes a front-end ball collector having two spaced-apart blades defining a ball collection space. The retriever includes a means for gripping and securing a ball positioned at the fore end, and one or more detents for retaining the collected ball in the collection space until a programmed or manually-directed release toward a target location such as a tennis baseline. The retriever includes a processor-controller for controlling and directing the retriever during a retrieval session. The retriever may be remote-controlled such as by voice commands.
Stability evaluation system, program, and method
A stabilizing ability, so-called stability, according to a change in body motion of a wearer is to be appropriately evaluated to achieve effective training, coaching, and fitting of athletic equipment. Provided are a plurality of body motion sensors 40 that is attached to a wearer 1 or an arbitrary part of a barbell 1a to be used by the wearer 1 and is capable of detecting three-dimensional displacement or rotation of each part, a memory that records a detection result by the plurality of body motion sensors 40 as body motion data and stores index data holding a correlation between an amount of deviation from a stable reference value for evaluating reproducibility of body motion and an index for evaluating a stabilizing ability, an index calculation unit 117g that refers to the index data based on a reference value or a threshold acquired from the recorded body motion data and calculates the index for evaluating the stabilizing ability, and an output device that displays or outputs the index calculated by the index calculation unit 117g.
Mechanisms and methods for a recreational game
A recreational game including a throwable object, a plurality of reception mechanisms, and a deflection mechanism. The throwable object can be thrown by a player of the recreational game and received by a reception mechanism. The throwable object can be deflected by the deflection mechanism to change a direction of the throwable object when the throwable object contacts the deflection mechanism. The deflection mechanism can include a nonplanar surface.
Side foot mounted IMU jump height sensor system
The present invention measures jump heights using an IMU sensor module slipped in a pocket of a removable side ankle mount clip placed over any low, mid or high tops ankle athletic running shoe. A micro-processor in the IMU sensor module converts analog jump height data collected with real time digital signal processing to digital data sent to specialized algorithms loaded in a RF paired smartphone to refine the digital data to accurately calculate the height of the jump. The clip has two downward spaced legs joined by a curved arch at the top with a first leg being flexible and fitting snugly against a wearer's ankle below the fibula bone with the curved arch resting over the shoe's collar. The second leg has a foot extending outwardly from the curved arch to form a pocket with a top opening to receive and snugly hold the module.
Simulation System and Method
A simulation system in which an amateur player may obtain an assessment of how the amateur players skills compare to those of an average professional athlete or a selected professional athlete that takes into consideration the physical differences between the amateur player and the professional athlete. Measurements of an amateur player are obtained and compared to those of a professional athlete. Such comparisons are used to adjust parameters for a physical or virtual simulation that may be used to assess the abilities of amateur player relative to that of the professional athlete.
Multi-mode acceleration-based athleticism measurement system
A multi-mode athleticism movement measurement system includes an athlete-borne acceleration sensor and an athleticism processing device to determine athleticism information based upon one or more timing measurements from the athlete-borne acceleration sensor, the athleticism information corresponding to any of multiple athleticism measurement modes available on athleticism processing device and selectable by a user. A data link between the athlete-borne acceleration sensor and the athleticism rating processing device transmits the one or more timing measurements from the athlete-borne acceleration sensor to the athleticism rating processing device.
