Data-collecting play object, system and method
A data-collecting play object. The play object includes a body manipulated by a player. A data-collecting unit is disposed in the interior of the body. The data-collecting unit includes an accelerometer unit measuring acceleration values along at least one translational degree of freedom, a gyroscope unit measuring rotation values about at least one rotational degree of freedom, and a processor in communication with the accelerometer unit and with the gyroscope unit. The processor obtains the acceleration values from the accelerometer unit and the rotation values from the gyroscope unit. The processor wirelessly transmits the acceleration and rotation values at discrete intervals. A power source supplies electrical power to the accelerometer unit, the gyroscope unit, and the processor. The play object being used in combination with an identification tag attached to a play accessory is also disclosed. A system and a method are also disclosed.
Basketball performance monitoring system
A basketball performance monitoring system sensor comprising a sensor housing coupled to a basketball goal proximate a net. The housing has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The housing includes an arm proximate the second end and is configured extendable inside the net. A U-shaped appendage is located between the first end and the second end. The U-shaped appendage is configured to couple to the net; wherein the sensor is configured to sense a ball impact vibration and/or an angular orientation responsive to a basketball passing over the arm.
Golf clubs and golf club heads
Golf clubs according to at least some example aspects of this disclosure may include a golf club head and a shaft configured to engage with the golf club head which includes a grip engaged with the shaft. Further, the golf club may include a monitoring device, which includes a sensor and a transmitter. Additionally, the monitoring device may be configured to determine data related to the characteristics of a golf swing. Further, the monitoring device may be configured to transmit the data related to the characteristics of a golf swing to a remote computer.
REHABILITATION AID
A rehabilitation therapy aid (FIG. 4), for use in aiding a patient to regain and improve movement and control in a limb, comprises a moveable structure (51) having engagement means (53) whereby the structure can be moved by the limb of a patient (72) requiring therapy and separate engagement means (52) whereby the structure can be moved in the same direction by a therapist (71) or by the patient's stronger limb. A movement detector (56) is arranged so that the movement of the structure (51) can be tracked by the patient and/or by the therapist.
Stairball Game and Method of Play
A stairball game, system, set, and method of play. The stairball game includes a number of striker balls for throwing by a number of players. The stairball set includes a number of target balls to be hit by the associated number of striker balls when positioned on stairs. The stairball set includes a number of tokens marking a position of each of the number of target balls on the stairs. Each of the number of striker balls, target balls, and tokens are associated with each of a number of players.
AUTOMATED FOOTBALL THROWING APPARATUS AND ATTACHMENT
An automated football throwing machine that includes a housing, a flexible portion, a transport portion, an activation module and a power module. The housing includes a receiving portion for receiving a football and an ejecting portion for adjustably ejecting the football. The flexible portion includes an integrated chute configured to gravity funnel a football into the receiving portion. The transport portion is configured to transport the football from the receiving portion to the ejecting portion. The activation module is configured to engage the ejecting portion to eject the football. The power module is configured to electrically power the transport portion and the activation module.
TRAINING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM WITH MUSICAL FEEDBACK
A training apparatus includes an elastic band; a device for continuously determining an actual configuration of the training apparatus during exercise, e.g. a stretch of the elastic band or a 2D or 3D position of said device; and for generating a control signal for an audio device, the control signal being at least partially based on the actual configuration of the training apparatus; and for outputting the control signal.
Feedback provision method, system, and analysis device
There is provided a feedback provision method including specifying, by a processor, an action generated in a target and a generation time of the action on the basis of sensing data of the target, determining feedback to be provided in accordance with the specified action, and providing the feedback at a time corresponding to the generation time.
Multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed apparatus for use with a slip and counter fight simulation / workout machine or stand alone device for fight simulation
A free standing fight simulation workout machine has a fight simulation headed/multi-headed, with or without arms, member that is adapted to be used in conjunction with a slip and counter fight simulation apparatus or stand alone apparatus. The fight simulation headed member for a free standing fight simulation workout apparatus has at least one main support structure having a mounting means. The headed member comprises at least one head terminating at an elongated neck. When present, the arms are arranged to extend from or come out of different areas of said head, face and/or neck. Preferably, multiple heads are provided. The headed member includes a top mating mounting portion and the neck bottom includes a bottom mating mounting adapted to mount on bungee cords mounted through mounting means on the workout apparatus. The head or heads and protruding arms provide various angles adapted for a user to punch, knee, and/or do a flying knee.
Golf ball tracking system and method
A golf ball tracking system and method is described. The golf ball tracking system includes a golf ball and a stationary time of flight receiver. The golf ball includes a memory, a logic component, an antenna and a battery. The memory stores a unique identifier associated with the golf ball. The logic component is electrically coupled to the memory. The antenna is electrically coupled to the logic component. The battery is electrically coupled to the logic component, antenna and memory. The battery powers the transmission of the unique identifier using the antenna at one or more frequencies. The stationary time of flight (ToF) receiver configured to receive the unique identifier transmitted by the golf ball. The unique identifier communicated to the ToF receiver at a frequency that tracks the location of the golf ball along a ball path.
