Golf simulator, and golf simulation method
A golf simulator comprises a photosensor unit, an image input unit, a movement information calculation unit, a spin information calculation unit and a flight trajectory calculation unit. The photosensor unit detects a moving path of a golf ball by using a plurality of photosensors, the image input unit inputs movement images of the golf ball, the movement information calculation unit calculates a moving direction and speed of the golf ball from information acquired from the photosensor unit, the spin information calculation unit calculates a spin amount of the golf ball from the inputted images, and the flight trajectory calculation unit calculates a flight trajectory of the golf ball by using movement information and spin information. The speed and direction of a golf ball, and a spin of the golf ball are accurately measured by using a separate image input device to calculate a spin amount of the golf ball.
Exercise measuring device, exercise apparatus having same, and exercise measuring method
An embodiment of the present invention discloses an exercise measuring device attachable to and detachable from a bar of an exercise apparatus, the exercise measuring device including: a main body; a coupling portion formed on the main body and configured to be coupled to at least an end portion of the bar; and a reader formed on the main body, wherein when a weight portion including a tag is fitted to the end portion of the bar, the reader detects a weight of the weight portion fitted to the bar by reading the tag of the weight portion.
Method and system for athletic motion analysis and instruction
A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion of an animal or human subject requires instrumenting a subject with inertial sensors, monitoring a body motion of interest, converting sensor data into motion data and animation, comparing the motion data with existing data for motion related performance parameters, providing a real-time, information rich, animation and data display of the results in color coded displays; and based on the results prescribing a training regime with exercises selected from a library of standardized exercises using standardized tools and training aids.
Golf club head
A golf club head includes a top portion, a sole portion opposite the top portion, and a striking face configured to impact a golf ball. The striking face includes a face center and a variable thickness distribution such that the club head exhibits an Expected COR value of not less than 0.810, the Expected COR value being determined based on the following relationship:
The variable c.sub.ij corresponds to an average COR value associated with bin i, j, and the variable p.sub.ij corresponds to a bin-specific impact probability value. And the club head exhibits a characteristic time no greater than 257 microseconds.
PHYSICAL MOVEMENT ANALYSIS
A processing device receives three dimensional (3D) motion capture data corresponding to a subject user performing a physical activity and receives attribute data associated with the subject user. The processing device determines a personalized reference data set for the subject user based on 3D motion capture data associated with a group of users performing the physical activity, wherein each user from the group of users shares at least a portion of the first attribute data with the subject user. The processing device provides the personalized reference data set as an input to a trained machine learning model and obtains an output of the trained machine learning model, wherein the output comprises a recommendation for the subject user pertaining to improvement of the physical activity.
Exercise Treadmill
An exercise treadmill is disclosed. The treadmill can be constructed with no obstructing front rails, with one or more side rails, and/or with a structural flat or ramped surface at the front allowing the user to exercise with unconstrained motion. The treadmill can further include one or more accommodations to help the user stay safe, remain longitudinally centered, and/or adjust speed with controls built into the treadmill, or automatically based on body position relative to sensors built into the side rails. The treadmill belt may be motor driven, or be user driven and dynamically moderated by resistance. The treadmill configuration can be utilized to provide a virtualized exercise experience for the user.
Trampoline Wiring Loom and Mat Sensor Attachment System
A trampoline comprises multiple movement sensors associated with one or more parts of the trampoline which move when the trampoline is bounced on by a user such as the trampoline mat, and an electrical wiring loom which connects to the movement sensors to a controller or a common connector at another end of the wiring loom. Various sensor mount and wiring loom options are described.
NOISELESS EXERCISE SYSTEM USING EMG
An exercise system comprises a stationary exercise apparatus including support arms, exercise parts, and a frame, at least one electromyograph configured to be worn on at least one body portion of a user, the electromyograph including an electromyogram sensor and a motion sensor, and a smart device configured to obtain a posture according to the detected motion, elect at least one exercise part corresponding to the posture from among the exercise parts, determine a target exercise part among the at least one exercise part elected, obtain a muscle strength by analyzing the detected electromyogram, record a muscle strength enhancement history in association with a use history of the determined target exercise part, and output the recorded muscle strength enhancement history and the use history.
BALL MOUNTING SYSTEM, LED CABLE AND TIP PROTECTOR FOR AN IMPROVED SWING TRAINING DEVICE
A new and improved training swing training device includes: (a) a deflector tube at a forward most end of its LED cable system; (b) an improved cable system sheathed in a transparent, more damage-resistant tubing; and (c) a new ball mounting system that employs an O-ring configuration for slidably engaging along the aforementioned cable system tubing with each successful contact swing with its tethered baseball (or softball).
Motion capture and analysis
Systems and methods for motion capture and analysis are described. The system may include a motion sensor unit configured to capture data associated with movement of an object. The motion sensor unit is configured to be directly or indirectly coupled to the movement object at a first location. The system also includes a processor to process the captured data to determine one or more values and to translate the data and/or values to correspond to a second location on the movement object located away from the first location. The data and/or values, including translated data and/or values, may be transmitted by wireless transmitter and displayed by a display unit.
