Combination gesture game mechanics using multiple devices

Embodiments provide techniques for altering a virtual world based on combinational input gestures. Embodiments retrieve a definition for a combinational gesture within a computer game, the definition specifying physical actions to perform according to a specified timing schedule in order to successfully perform the combinational gesture. User activity is monitored to detect when a first user input from a first input devices sufficiently matches a first predefined pattern of user input corresponding to a first physical action, and to detect when a second user input from a second input device sufficiently matches a second predefined pattern of user input corresponding to a second physical action. Embodiments determine that the first and second user inputs were performed according to the timing schedule specified in the definition. A status of at least one aspect of a virtual world for the computer game is altered, based on performance of the combinational gesture.

Method and system for delivering biomechanical feedback to human and object motion

A method and system to deliver biomechanical feedback utilizes three major elements: (1) multiple hardware data capture devices, including optical motion capture, inertial measurement units, infrared scanning devices, and two-dimensional RGB consecutive image capture devices, (2) a cross-platform compatible physics engine compatible with optical motion capture, inertial measurement units, infrared scanning devices, and two-dimensional RGB consecutive image capture devices, and (3) interactive platforms and user-interfaces to deliver real-time feedback to motions of human subjects and any objects in their possession and proximity.

Recovery assistance device, method and system

The invention discloses a recovery assistance device for helping in rescuing victims of avalanches, earthquakes or boat capsizes. The device is capable of calculating a position from combinations of a previous position and distances to other devices. Different configurations are possible, with a basic configuration consisting of a smart phone having waveform generation capabilities, processing and GNSS receiving capabilities. The device is programmed to be used in a defined mission by an application. The device can also receive a number of add-ons as a battery add-on, a modem add-on, a sound wave generation add-on, antennas, and protection, possibly waterproof, if adequate. Devices of the same type can be carried by people to be rescued and rescuers. The device is therefore quite versatile and can increase significantly the efficiency of rescue teams in different use case scenarios.

Golf club grip

The invention generally relates to a grip for a golf club having a housing portion specifically for housing an accessory, the grip specifically configured to enhance performance and enjoyment of the game of golf. Grips of the invention help to provide a smoother gripping surface and to prevent relative motion between the accessory and the club when the accessory is coupled to the club.

Systems and techniques for the collection and display of athletic information. Athletic data relating to a single person or group of people is collected at a central location, and subsequently displayed at a desired remote location so that the person or people can review and critique their performance. In addition, athletic data for multiple persons can be collected at a central location, and subsequently displayed to a user at a desired remote location, so that the user can compare his or her athletic activities to others.

Apparatus and method for automatically analyzing a motion in a sport

An apparatus includes a communications interface that receives first sensed data from a first sensor attached to a user and second sensed data from a second sensor attached to a user. That apparatus also includes circuitry that analyzes the first sensed data and the second sensed data and provides a display signal that causes a display to produce first visual information regarding a motion of the user and second visual information regarding the motion of the user, the first visual information being different than the second visual information.

Swim training system, swim data computation method using the same, and swim training method using the same
